Community Classic Domination: A Project

3 days later, another 250. I did two double days so that the end of the month will better align with the end of the tracks. I really just need to keep grinding now.
I also wanna note that there are a good deal of tracks that I have skipped over. When I say "the end of the tracks" I mean the end of the tracks that I could beat relatively quickly and easily. there are still some (one of the earliest that comes to mind is movie mania cce) that will take a grind just to complete and as such they will be the very last stage of pass 1. Up to this point there are 51 tracks that I have skipped over and not yet gone back and beaten. A great majority of these (about 35) are from the "per author" section of the community classics which is filled with complete trash and awful hard trials, many of which I have skipped over. There are a few tracks as well that are known to be possible but have 0 completions. Basically the grind is far from over.

alright so this will be the penultimate update of this form. I am at ID 10750 and 5750 respectively. Instead of doing another update at 11000 and 6000, I am just going to get through the last 106 tracks after that and wrap them in their as well. Will be another two days so a week until the next update. I have also been able to get through a handful of the less frustrating previously skipped tracks. I have 40 of these left (down from 51 in the last update, this is counting two tracks that are possible but unbeaten).

I am also finishing the month with a total of 254 first places earned (although I've lost some since). I still will go through and get those last 1230 top 10 placements as my final goal but for now I'm gonna take a breather. I would like to make a forum post talking about every single deleted and impossible community classic track (now that I have them all mapped out) so expect that soon. for now though this is a massive milestone done in this crazy journey. thanks for everyone that's ever checked this thread!

edit: I have added the autogenerated list of all my placements to the ghosting channel in the discord for anyone to take a look at and verify.

 

alright small update. I haven't been playing much the past few weeks but I have knocked out 15 more undone tracks that were less annoying than the others. I still have some dookie tracks left to do but progress is progress. only 25 tracks left to go

alright very small update on my plans here on out. I have been working with Tubiek on beating some tracks I had previously marked as impossible and weren't counted in the 20 previously mentioned (you can see my other thread for those). there's probably only a handful more there that we'll be able to beat. from there I wanna try and get to under 1000 remaining non top 10's (can see my statistics below for how close I am to that). I have currently grinded top 10's up to ID 6350 but I wanna focus more on this as I've done very little the past few weeks. only after that do I think i'll go through and properly knock out the last 20 tracks.

alrighty, i have hit a pretty wild milestone that I wanted to share. I have grinded top 10s up to ID 7000, which has left me with these stats:

I have less than 1000 tracks left without a top 10. this means I have 9107 top 10s, or 90.11% of the entire community classics under my belt. It's also worth noting than in reality, this number is much lower because of impossible, deleted, and unimprovable tracks. pretty crazy

took me bout 20-25 minutes I think, the ending isn't even that bad once you know what you're doing. had maybe 4-5 end fails in this session lol

I would like to note that up to this point, there are only 31 (!!!) tracks in which a top 10 is possible (i.e, not deleted, completely impossible, or an unimprovable 10 way tie) that I do not have. 31 tracks out of about 7800 eligible tracks. how crazy is that!!!

I have found in my research that I actually have top 10 times on 4 now deleted tracks. I have requested totoca12 to delete these times as it personally goes against the spirit of the project as they can never be beaten as long as the tracks remain deleted. so just pretend that my "N/A" count is actually 712 for now (he hasn't done it yet)
