Not always. I have seen a few OA tracks begging for subscribers.

 

The cost for items goes up with every some odd purchases, currently 200 coins for me.

There are 10 daily achievements, and here's what I've found you can do:
1. "Start Your Engine" - 10 coins
Easy, just complete a track.
2. "The Critic" - 10 coins
Go to any track, and repeatedly press the like button, like unlike like unlike etc. Shortly afterwards you'll get the achievement
3. "Race a Friend" - 20 coins
Just complete a friend race, you don't even have to beat them.
4. "Warmin' Up" - 20 coins
Complete 5 tracks, as said.
5. "The Challenger" - 40 coins
Extremely easy, especially if you have 5 or more friends. Find a track to challenge them on, maybe a featured one, and if you have 5+ friends and send a challenge to each of them on the one track you get the achievement : )
6. "Swag" - 50 coins
Avoid this achievement, unless the price for the item is less than 50 coins, it'll be a loss.
7. "Beat Your Friends" - 50 coins
Find a trick ghost or something, and constantly beat them on that.
8. "On A Roll" - 50 coins
Complete the 10 tracks, no trick to this.
9. "Getting Better" - 75 coins
Find a really simple track, like a line or something in the newest section, then get a really terrible time on it. Start, then do nothing for a minute or two, then get the star. Keep on improving your time on this track until the achievement is obtained.
10. "Rising Star" - 150 coins
No way around this, get the 100 points, either by campaigns or by completing 50 tracks. If your ghosting skills suck, then too bad for you. Try and find a lot of simple tracks. Maybe go to a noob user's profile page with 100 or so simple tracks and try completing them

 

What a comprehensive rundown of the most strenuous achievements ever on such a basis...

 

I'm at hats that cost 900-1000 coins(and I know people who are even higher), meaning that even if I do every single daily achievement, it would take me more than 2 days to get a hat. However, the 50 coin bonus after buying an item is nice since it helps start off on getting the next hat.

 

Which will be more costly than the previous and then the next one onwards.

 

I've given up on buying hats altogether

 

What do you do with your spare coins?

 

I save 'em up. That's how I had 15k for the PBC
