Also, If I detailed this, would I have to keep the brush settings at the lowest and stroke in the opposite direction, or could I just do whatever?

 

It's fine, but don't bother detailing. If you read through all the information you would know that detailing the track doesn't improve your chances of winning. If you really want to detail it, you can do it however you want.
