not as much as "Goodbye, Swiftfly" (that one got 1.6K plays right now) but it's second-most popular track on my account right now

 

I wonder if they're getting so popular bc we're on forums.

I believe in striving for attention, and getting positive feedback, but pushing forward something that gathered attention only because of the message doesn't make much sense to me.

And yes, while I also think that plays can be am early sign of something catching on, basing the track popularity solely off of that is not a great idea. (This is what I pick up from your message, as it seems that you are chuffed with the fact that it got 1,000 plays.)

 

How else can you base the popularity?

 

I was just surprised as I have a fraction of the subs as I do plays. My tracks have never gotten that many plays.

I urge you to not make a statement until you have gathered all the information, either that or you are just jumping to conclusions. It makes you come off as having a lazy personality, and doesn't like to read up on the situation in detail.
I was merely stating that judging maps solely based off of plays is not a very good thing to do.
