It has been over a week now and both of the two tracks are still around. I'm not going to post a track until they are gone because there is no point in posting when the top two trendings are going to be taken up by these tracks.
I’m also not gonna post anything until it’s gone, because I have a massive collab with a few other authors and def want it to do well, and not be overshined by the botted sh*t
This game is still having issues with botting and no one has come up with a solution... I feel really bad for the authors who have featured tracks that are being held back a #1 or #2 spot on trending because of the two botted tracks with thousands of likes. I started playing for the first time in nearly 3 years and this sh*t happens. Meanwhile, I have a half dozen unpublished tracks that I won't publish if there is no chance of a trending track. It also really hasn't helped that the only way for a track to get popular nowadays is to tell someone your mom died and the only way for you to feel better is to receive likes. I understand that it is a tragedy (if it even happened) but the people on Free Rider don't need to know. Now to talk about solutions. I think that trusted members of the community should receive the power to take down a track. Obviously the power to remove a track shouldn't be given to one person but maybe if three of the selected members all agree that the track should be taken down, then it would be removed. I understand that these two current trending tracks are a difficult situation because the owners of the tracks didn't do this but instead someone else did. This brings up an argument that these authors deserve to keep some of the likes on the track. I sympathize with these people but unfortunately, they would also have to have their tracks deleted. They could then reupload them and see how many likes their track would receive. Another solution that I proposed a long time ago when a similar problem was occurring a few years ago would be to require 500xp in order to like tracks. This would also stop people from making alternate accounts and liking their tracks. Sorry for ranting just wanted to state my opinion as to how to fix this.
I'm pretty sure the same person who gained over one million points in under 24 hours has access to like bots. Gaining 500 points on all the bots might not be a problem for him. I think the time limit is 1 month.
well, yes. yes it would be. BUUUTTTT..... (yes, there is a but) it would be way harder than any of our skills. Even the devs would (most likely) need to use a pre-made platform. What it couldn't do is ban the bots. That is just not possible. what it could do it stop likes if there are too many in a row or at a time. This would be an issue if there was an exploding track, so there should also be some amount of verification.
