This is from The New York Times. I hear you on the bias, and I usually read AP News (a wire service), but it would be disingenuous to think that the NYT would state this as a fact without it being true. They may have a liberal bias, but NYT is a respected publication with standards for truth and integrity. Doing something like this would destroy their reputation.
