Someone lock this thread. This isn't a thread where you can constantly pester people about getting OA.

 

Hi Totoca12 , I'm really considering my strategy for obtaining OA. I feel that my idea would be more efficient and controlled than just a string of people asking on mods' profiles, and I think the reason the staff doesn't answer the players is because they feel that the players aren't good enough for it, but after the players have spammed their profiles so much, they feel bad for rejecting them. What I am proposing is that instead of the players directly asking the staff for OA, we have the players ask a group of experienced members for OA. Then the team could decide as a group whether they should be given OA or not, and then one member could pm the player and either tell them that they have been approved for OA, or that they need to work on their tracks a bit more. Then a group member can pm the staff to give them out.
Pros

• Less spam and distractions on the mods' profiles (A rule could be enforced stating that players may not ask for OA a second time if they have already asked for it and been rejected. Then, after a set time limit they can ask for it again)
• More efficient way of rejecting or accepting players (Whenever a player is rejected, they will get pmed and instead of saying "No" like the staff would usually do, the specific team member can blame the rest of the team) - this is more of a moral reason
  
• Constructive criticism can be given (the group of players can each give out some advice for the players applying for OA, and that way instead of the staff having time just to say "No," without any feedback on how they might get better)

Cons

• It will probably take time for a mod to dish this new idea out and update everything
• It might be hard to ask players to become "OA staff members" (I get the feeling that many people will apply for the job actually, but not a great deal of them will be close to being experienced and trusted)

These are all of the benefits and disadvantages I could think of for now. Please consider this idea, as I really do feel that it will be a better system for giving out OA.
