First of all, with very few exceptions the British were the ones doing the whuppin. You wanna look at how many battles we won before the French came along? Not very many at all. Death tolls were huge for the Revolutionaries, who only survived because they were faster than the British, which doesn't sound like beating them very much. Battle of Yorktown? Won because the French blocked the bay and stopped the British from retreating or getting reinforcements. Secondly, we fought the British not because we wanted to show them we were superior and teach them a lesson, we fought for independence.

 

not saying that we didn't take our losses but you realize that makes it sound we were close to losing at that time. not really, and I know we fought for independence, not for superiority. I mean we are superior,but thats a topic for another day (JK JK)

 

1. Supply and demand has nothing to do with the fact that high fructose corn syrup is planted everywhere. Different argument
2. Our food is **** for different reasons but it has to adhere to certain things.
3. The bad bit in beans and toast is probably the bread but if it's wholemeal bread, no or unsalted butter and reduced salt and sugar bakes beans, it can't be that bad.

 

We were close to losing almost the whole time that was going on. Britain ruled basically half the world's land mass until the early 1900's, so we weren't superior for a long time, and that superiority is crumbling.
