    CRITERIA AND STATS

    Criteria
    We're looking for your best ghosts to feature, so if you think you have one that's unbeatable then post the link and we'll consider it. Undoubtedly people will try to beat the suggestions, which should help to raise the bar and encourage competition between riders. You can suggest your own ghosts or others if you spot a good one. We'll wait a little while to see if it can be done faster.

    We're looking to categorize the ghosts suggested based on the following criteria:

    Criteria for fast ghosts – maintaining speed, minimal mistakes, smoothness, creative shortcuts, finding interesting paths of flow, close calls, endurance, managing tricks within a very fast run, no easy hold up tracks, and should be at least 15 seconds long.

    Criteria for trickghosts – creative tricks, flow, smoothness, minimal mistakes, nice style to watch, endurance, difficulty will be judged and needs to be at minimum 15 seconds long. Most ghosts should be longer—likely upwards of 30 seconds to a minute at least.

    Criteria for auto cuts – significant cut of an auto that would be difficult to replicate, which could mean anything from incredible tricks using parts of the auto or just a bit of luck; ghosts do not have to be longer than 15 second mark, but should be at least 10 seconds long, so that in all likelihood they are not replicable.

    Criteria for vehicle ghosts – similar criteria to fast ghosts, only difference is that the majority of the ghost will be in a vehicle, meaning a spectacular heli, blob, balloon, or truck ghost.

    Here's a little video explaining the criteria and the process of getting a featured ghost, made by Madara and Cerulean:



    PS: Exceptions - We'll make exceptions to these guidelines if we see fit in certain cases related to the minimum length of the ghosts, like for example if there's a really good ghost that falls just short of the 15 second threshold (or 10 second threshold if it's an auto cut), but we feel like it's worth featuring.

    PS2: Other Category - There is a category named "Other" where lies the ghosts that are considered worthy to be on the list despite not exactly fitting the criteria for any of the categories. It's a rare exception that is given to very special and iconic ghosts.

    PS3: Stolen features - Usually if you beat a featured ghost you'll get a new feature (except for trickghosts and ghosts in the Other category), unless we feel it doesn't match the requirements anymore. If you do beat a ghost in the list, please announce it on the thread, so we can better keep track of things on the list. If a player beats a featured ghost but they don't have a forum account and we have reasons to have suspicions about the player, we won't consider the feature and the ghost will be removed from the list and added to unverified features section of this post. If a "verified player" beats the ghost later, the feature will be restored. It's possible that if an unverified ghoster beats a feature, the ghost can still be featured in the Other category if we feel like it's great enough.

    Total featured ghosts: 527
    382 fast ghosts, 53 vehicle ghosts, 40 trickghosts, 31 auto cuts and 21 other featured ghosts.
    Currently, 31 different players are on the list. (Peak: 48 players)
    Of these players, 17 have features in one category* only, while 11 have features in at least 2 categories*. Only 5 of those 11 have a feature in 3 different categories*. Out of those 5, only 2 players currently have a feature in every category*. Also, there's 3 players that only have a feature in the "Other Featured Ghosts" category, so they weren't counted in those previous numbers.

    did stig asked you to manage this ? tbh that is one of the most wrong thing stig did. now he is getting hate from a lot of players (and from me too) and this decision was totally inappropriate to this. i don't think he is getting the thing that ppl have a life and aren't always on forums. this is really sad how the forum is becoming.

    I don't entirely agree, but I got the idea, but this should be the list with the best ghosts, so we can't really ignore the previous featured ghosts, most of them definitely deserve to be here. You can't put the level too high or even you will have almost no featured ghosts. You're saying that you want new ones? Ok, but what is the point of locking the old thread if you will not making something to improve and will just ignore their previous effort to make that thread.

    So, to avoid that and help to stop this little "war" you need to have something new, but respecting what was done before you. With that said, I'll post some ghosts here soon. And good luck with this thread!

    the point of locking the old thread and starting this one is that i'm active, fair, unbiased and experienced. also there's no need to have separate threads for featured fast and trick ghosts anymore, this covers everything.

    i don't critic the thread herself, i just critic the way of stig acted and now i think this will maybe sign the dead of the website.

    Also he did well to choose you, but it was evident that you was the type of guy to this. he acted like a little kid who was very jealous that he wasn't controlling the whole situation. you started first dude. there was no reason to lock the ******* thread, they haven't did something bad, they was just busy. so if you lock every thread w/an inactive creator, you have some job to do.

    Well, btw i guess you mods have other things more important to do that locking thread cos you're mad. there is fishing for likes, fixing the oa problem, and all this fkn **** that stig is too much lazy ass to do.
