Why Zenblade Needs to be Banned

Hey everyone. This post will be a bit of a long one, but I feel like this needs to be addressed. There is no reason a player like this has not been formally addressed in a manner such as this yet.

Due to his recent creation of the track Kobe Bryant, Zenblade has grown quite popular. The track has over 150 likes, which greatly contrasts tracks such as Beyond All Bounds by zwinxz or Skeleton Sea by spruce, two tracks that have only gained about 100 likes in their month-long presence on the database. This comparison arises one major issue with generated tracks. Although visually appealing, they draw attention away from other well-deserved featured tracks, which may have taken months to make. Stealing the spotlight is, although an unfortunate consequence, NOT a bannable offense.

Hacking tracks times, however, is a bannable offense. For example, back in September of 2019, a user by the name of HackerAlert began hacking leaderboard times, wreaking havoc among the community. The thread appropriately titled "HackerAlert" by Rhodium details much of the happenings. Here is a screenshot he shared, detailing the type of notification spam that many users received from HackerAlert beating their leaderboard times.

HackerAlert was, rightfully and promptly, banned. But, he created HackerAlertIsMad in order to communicate with the community on why he did what he did. This, alongside hacking tracks, brings his bannable offense count to 2. As detailed in the Forum Rules, "any attempt to circumvent a temporary ban or other moderator action will lead to permanent ban of your account(s)." It then goes on to describe what circumventing a ban may look like, and the creation of HackerAlertIsMad matches the criteria. "Circumvention includes re-registering or using an already registered account under a non-banned username." This offense in an of itself should lead to the ban of HackerAlertIsMad .

So, after reading all of that, it may be proposed "what does that have to do with Zenblade? What bannable offense has he undertook?" Well, he is HackerAlert and HackerAlertIsMad . In the thread "Can my main get OA? (Zenblade)," the title very clearly states that he is Zenblade. Furthermore, and more conclusively, the description of the Zenblade profile on the database says "I am hackerAlert."

So, as an attempt to circumvent the ban on the account HackerAlert, Zenblade should also be banned.

Need more proof? Okay, I'll provide it, although this is much more of a gray area than the incidents detailed above. I would like to recall the incidents of m1.c3, one of the original generator makers. I, unfortunately, can not locate where or when I received this Pastebin from him, but if I recall correctly it was around late 2016. In it, he details his experience with Stig, threatening to ban him unless he takes down his track generators. He quotes Stig as bluntly saying "no generators." This proves that Zenblade, in the creation of his image-to-track generator, in direct in violation of the rules, as set by Stig, an administrator to the site.

What harm does the generator do? You may be asking yourself. Well, for one, the uploading of the track is in clear infringement on Canadian copyright laws, where the piece of artwork originates from. RIP Kobe Bryant is a piece of artwork by Dave Whamond, and Zenblade fails to recognize this when publishing his track. Canadian copyright laws protect "artistic works such as paintings, drawings..." and clearly protect this artwork. Canadian fair use includes a multitude of things, but this track does NOT fit under any of the categories nor meets the requirements to be copyright exempt.

Additionally, Zenblade is selling access to the generator, further involving other users in this negative, bannable behavior.




So, in conclusion, Zenblade needs to be banned. Many other users agree with me on this matter, as I have spoken with several of them on the Discord, and it is easy to see the community's disgust in the comment section of his track. He has broken several bannable rules, as well as breaking Canadian Copyright law. I know I missed some pieces of evidence, but this should be well enough to result in him being banned. Feel free to provide more evidence by replying to this thread, or just reply with your opinion on generators.

I would like to state that I am not from Canada, therefore, I did not break any Canadian laws. I also could have very easily removed Whamond's signature altogether, but I wanted to give him credit for the art and so I left his signature.
As for the sale of the generator, I am trying to make a living off of eCommerce.
Lastly, this account has hacked not times and has turned over a new leaf as the saying goes.
Moreover, I feel that instead of me being negative, I think that they are being negative towards me.
Lastly, I would like to add that Char knows full well about my account. I even gave him some tips on how to improve the game's security.

 

copyright laws apply to where the piece of work originates from. You can see here, under "attribution," that the work originates from Canada. Therefore, Canadian copyright laws apply to this case.

You not having hacked on this account is irrelevant, that is not why it should be banned. It is because you circumvented your previous ban, which is, as detailed through the forum rules, disallowed.

ecommerce is a very convenient way to cover what is, in this case, a scam. youre selling something which can easily be obtained and used for free; youre a fraud, not a salesman. dont get it twisted. youve taken advantage of what is presumably a young child in thunderbear, which is incredibly sad

people are being negative to you because what youre doing is immoral and frankly disgusting. youve contributed nothing to this community except for a glorified scam and a history of hacking. why would or should anyone treat you well? you fully deserve to be banned

it can be obtained for free from merely asking around, literally 1 hour ago pie42 posted the code for it lmao. youre gating autogen behind a paywall which you do not have the authority to do, and more so isnt your invention to begin with. youve scammed a child out of their money simply because they didnt know any better
