In some ways this track is a tribute to freerider. I discovered this game when I was in the sixth grade. Fourteen years later it's still my favorite game. It's been crazy to see it change in over the course of my lifetime, but one thing never changes; the racy ads!!

In this thread feel free to share your thoughts on the track, bash me for being against pornography, or commiserate on the sad state of this game.

 

Incredible work man. I genuinely feel like this could be an empowering and instructive story for young people (and older alike). The art draws you in and communicates an engaging blend of mystery and clarity, depth of feeling, and high-level technical skill. The ride elevates and corresponds to the story, changing as the rider makes choices, empowering the rider. You use your talent to communicate your feelings so clearly and it's so impressive.
The vulnerability here is so needed and so powerful. I feel lighter after playing. I also appreciate the sensitivity and care you provide (with the content warning, but also the manner in which the themes are depicted), without holding anything back. This is an important story that really moved me--Thank you!

 

Thanks so much Alex. I was out of the country when Molta world dropped and I didn't really take the chance to give my appreciation for that track. I was really inspired by the molta world mega-track. The attention to detail and mastery of craft blew me away. The depth of storytelling in molta world as well as the vulnerability in SOTA were the inspiration for this track, although this doesn't come near what you and rationalities accomplished with molta world.

 

lol just when i thought i was completely checked out of making free rider tracks you had to come along and inspire me again smh.
seriously though i just played this track and there is just so much things that it does that i haven't really seen ever, it makes me really want to turn that idea of a stanley parable-inspired track i had ages ago into a thing. you could write an essay about this sh9t IMO i have a lot to say about it that i am too lasy/busy to say so i will just say this. really inventive stuff, on par with seasnail's computer, maple's drygrove, pssst's rapunzel, zwinxz decay, alex SOTA levels of innovation in my eyes

 

You smart smart man. Very ingenious way of describing our desires, problems with pornography growing up and relationships. This is truly a one of all time kind of track. Y'all need to stop being so good.

I can't imagine how much work it was to come up with the story and to arrange it in such a way, with such incredible art. I'm mostly here for autos and trials, and I never thought a story track would fascinate and move me so much.
I can't say much more without getting personal, I hope the track helps people learn a lesson even if it might not be about porn specifically.

I know many people have no qualms with porn-use, so I didn't want to be heavy-handed in condemning the compulsion to watch porn, but in my experience it has never led to good things in my life.
I wanted to find a way to be relatable and sympathetic while at the same time acknowledging the truth: why am I habitually doing something that is adversely affecting my life and the way I view women?

 

This, now, is the pinnacle of Freerider. It was happening, but you've done it. Choices, stories, lessons... Help. Concepts that everyone can ride and relate to.
