Contest ORG Season 1 - Contest Over - All The Prizes Out Now!

Hello, guys. What's up? I still don't have a new computer, but I was able to borrow my brother's laptop for part of the day so I could update the spreadsheet and some other stuff, so I did that. Not many relevant changes at the top, RedOrBlue stays with the lead, almost reaching the Diamond rank. Cerasium is keeping the 2nd place and DrChill is back at 3rd place after beating me for the 3rd time in the contest #feelssadman. Chaos-Fallen is on a good streak and keeps the 4th place, while I'm in 5th place for now. Check other changes below.

So that's it guys. Sorry for the delay, it's been hard to manage stuff without a computer. We are trying to make a bonus round for tomorrow's round, and if it works out well it'll be a cool one. We have some details to resolve, but we'll keep you guys posted.​

This week's race will be on this track:

This week we will have a bonus round that is very different from the previous ones we did. First of all, since it was a bonus round, we should have made a track for this, but we were unable to make one. But we still wanted to do a bonus round this week, so we had an idea. We found a track that not a single player in the contest had completed and decided to make this round using that track.

But what is this bonus round about? You might be wondering about that. So, this round is a total change in the usual dynamic of the contest, we'll have an ORG TEAM RACE for this weekend. We have 68 available players for this week, so we split them in 10 teams, with 8 of them having 7 players and 2 of them having 6. After this we put the top 10 players in the leaderboard in different teams and started using a pattern for the remaining players. We divided the rest of the list of available players in 5 lists of 10 players and 1 list of 8 players. Than we alternated picking a player available from the bottom of the next list than the top of the following one, until the lists ended. We did this for all of the teams, until we ran out of players.

So, although some teams might be stronger than others in theory, that mostly happened because we had some great players in not so good places in the leaderboard, since I think that the way we made the teams was pretty fair.

I will talk about how we are going to do the scoring system for this later, but without further ado, here are the teams:

SCORING and TIE BREAKERS:

Here is the "catch". Every week there's always some players that don't ghost the tracks, so we had to do something to handle this issue. We really wanted this to be a team effort, so although the average times from the players in the group will be taken in consideration, it won't be necessarily the first criteria.

The main thing we'll value is how many players completed the track. If a team has a 1:05:60 average time in the track, with 4 players completing the track and another team has an 1:09:50 average time, but with 6 players completing the track, the second team will prevail. We are doing this to avoid having teams being helped by people in lower ranks not ghosting. This will be a team race, so it shouldn't help, but cause problems to your team instead. So, with that said, since we don't have 7 players in each team, we'll count 6 players ghosting as the maximum possible amount. So 9 teams will had the possibility of having 1 player not ghosting and it won't be taken in consideration for the final average.

So, we first we'll see if there's any teams with 6 players ghosting the track. If we have, then we'll rank them by the average times from the players in the team, from best to worst. Then we'll proceed with the same idea for the teams who had 5 players ghosting, then 4, 3, 2, 1 and possibly 0. Team work will prevail over best times from each team, but I guess it'll be fun.

As for the scoring, the best team will get 100 points for each member, the 2nd place will get 90 points for each, then 80 points for 3rd place, 70 for 4th, 60 for 5th, 50 for 6th, 40 for 7th, 30 for 8th, 20 for 9th place and 10 for 10th place. People only won't get points if they don't complete the track. In fact, if you complete the track you'll get from 10 to 100 points, and if you don't complete the track you will lose 30 points. So every player who completes the track will get a win in the stats, and whoever doesn't, will get a loss in the stats.
