    1st:
    1st Place (open)
Fluffysmack with a score of 25.7/30!

    constructive criticism
Eryp: only bad thing about this track is the ride. maybe it's a personal thing but smooth stuff like this just doesn't seem that unique or fun to me. on top of that, there's some infuriatingly obvious cuts here that should've been fixed, but it is what it is. I also gotta point out the floating platforms in the water and lower right. the track looks so good bar those 2 things, so major props to you for making a banger here.
Zycerak: the detail is very clean and delibrate. although i didn't dock points for this, i wish you wouldn't shy away from using more black lines in your detail. it will help create more of a seperation between background and foreground, as well as more defined forms. i don't think i've ever acknowledged your rides until now, but it was very smooth and satisfying to play. however the heli does not seem very necessary, and especially in a track like yours, you go from smoothly gliding across the track with ease to suddenly having to control a finicky helicopter. the ride could be a little more engaging too. very minor complaints overall and i still gave you the highest score.

    2nd:
    2nd Place (open)
Elibloodthirst with a score of 24.8!

    constructive criticism
Eryp: looks rushed for you. ride is both the most ambitious and most infuriating of the ones i've reviewed so far. there's also like a ton of things that feel like they could be nitpicked (the people, why do some of the machines terminate where they do, why don't some angles have the same vanishing point), but overall the composition still looks good. you're good enough to know what you're doing so idk what else there's to say here. nice job, please make better rides!
Zycerak: i admire your ability to fill up the entire space with your detail. i guess my only real complaint with it is that some spots feel a bit messy and maybe could benefit from a stronger execution. the ride is decently fun, but there are definitely some annoying sections. but overall the ride does fit well with the track. this is the most creative track in the contest, imo. i like your ability to tell a strong narrative through a track, very few authors do that. it also incorporates the space and ride very well, making the box feel larger.

    3rd:
    3rd Place (open)
    Rayb25 with a score of 24.5/30!

    constructive criticism
Eryp: really good. think this track is kinda the same idea as your poster contest entry, and the smaller box just suited it better (hence why creativity isn't that high). like zycerak said the only real issue w the detail is w compositional stuff, but you're definitely set on a path to be really really good.
Zycerak: your detail level in this track caught me off guard. probably my favourite detail from the contest. i genuinely think you are on pace to be up there with the greats considering you are still very young. it only suffers from some lack of cohesion and some compositional issues which i was willing to overlook because i liked the style so much. the ride is fairly basic but still pretty fun and incorporated well in the track. i recognize that rock detail isn't a crazy conceptual breakthrough in terms of creativity, but with your style and other incorporated elements, it leads to a unique feel.

    4th:
    4th Place (open)
Zgolex with a score of 22.5/30!

    constructive criticism
Eryp: pretty good. ride isn't made entirely clear to the ride, so that explains that deduction. detail is solid. zycerak pointed it out too but some of it is subpar. those trees at the top are like ??????? why????? rest of it is pretty cool tho. i know you've done a track with this kinda down perspective before, so it's not 100% new, but i can appreciated you trying it w this other kinda detail. well done
Zycerak: i like the fullness of the detail but it is a bit messy in some areas. the ride isn't the most intuitive thing ever but it's not bad. i like the presence of a theme and incorporation of geometrical shapes, but i can't help but feel like all of your tracks look the same.

    5th:
    5th place (open)
dantexpress with a score of 22.2/30!

    constructive criticism
Eryp: this one's really good. idea is really cool, just not executed 100% perfectly. for perspective tracks i'm pretty sure you'd wanna have a consistent perspective, which there definitely isn't here. but it's mainly about the idea here, and for what it is it's great. ride is really really well integrated too, which is normally really difficult in non-standard flat perspective tracks (see coager's). there are a few minor issues w some of the ride, hence why it's an 8 and not higher. really well done, keep it up
Zycerak: the detail is pretty good, definitely has potential. the ride is ok, bit annoying in some parts. pretty good implementation of the vehicles. i like the general environment of this track, however there isn't a lot going on. also this might be just me but the skyline looks kind of out of place.

    6th:
    6th place (open)
    Coated_Badger with a score of 20.7/30!

    constructive criticism
Eryp: nice, unique isometric idea. hard to make a ride like that, so i understand the heli decision, so i'm not gonna deduct points for it being a heli track. that said, it's an average heli track. it ranges somewhere between "collect all the stars" and a heli trial, neither of which are terribly unique. so ride is meh. detail isn't exceptional or anything but it's effective for the idea you went with, which is nice. so good job
Zycerak: creative track everyone knows that let's move on. the detail is fairly clean but also kind of basic with a few messy parts noticeable when you zoom it. i really really really really really wish you would have incorporated any sort of ride in the track. flying around on the outside of the structure is boring and makes me sad that i can not go inside. as a standalone heli track i guess it's ok, i also understand that it would require a lot more to incorporate a ride in an isometric build so you get some pity points. for future reference it is free rider hd not free flyer hd. lol. good one zycerak. i think if it weren't for time constraints, this concept could make for an even cooler track.

    7th:
    7th Place (open)
DrChill with a score of 20/30!

    constructive criticism
Eryp: this is all around a solid entry. feels more or less complete, and no real compositional issues. a little bit devoid of highlight pieces can leave some parts of the track feeling a little bit empty, but as a whole it feels complete. you're getting closer to a feature i feel like, so keep it up
Zycerak: the detail that's there is pretty well done actually. i really like how you drew the animals. it's only docked marks because it feels very empty. the ride is pretty fun. the floating house was pretty cool but there's not a lot happening in this track in general. i do think you have a lot of potential.

    8th:
    8th Place (open)
    awesomeman82 with a score of 19.5/30!

    constructive criticism
Eryp: average track. fills the entire box but detail ranges from anywhere to good to bad. not sure why the rock detail isn't consistent to all rock formations, but whatever. not bad, can tell you're on the right path. cool shoutout to the worst track in the game by the way
Zycerak: overall fun ride. i appreciate the incorporation of Antigravity Area 2, however it breaks the flow of the ride (as well as the heli although since it's at the end and every single other author is putting a heli at the end of their tracks i guess it's ok). however i did give you more points for creativity as references aren't too commonly incorporated into tracks like that and the references create a more engaging environment in this case. my biggest gripe is probably the lack of cohesion, elements seemed to be pasted into areas without much deliberation. general detailed could be improved upon as well, cleaner lines, better defined rocks, etc.

    9th:
    9th Place (open)
Wayward with a score of 15.3/30!

    constructive criticism
Eryp: this has some really good ideas! not 100% complete but you were 100% on the right path here. definitely try to use curve tool for your ride less, it's really annoying. some of the detail isn't great but i think w this one the idea is more important since you're a newer author. keep up the good work
Zycerak: i feel like the detail isn't that bad, there's just not a lot of it and what is there is kind of messy. the ride isn't awful, maybe go easy on the curve tool. conceptually i feel like this track has some pretty good ideas that could be executed better.

    10th:
    10th Place (open)
SuperflyWA with a score of 14.8/30!

    constructive criticism
Eryp: this is a really fun and unique track. it just doesn't work well w how the judging is supposed to be done. if this was an independent track of the box contest (and even within the box contest), I'd really like it. just the fact it has no detail i have to deduct points. more tracks like this please, they're really fun
Zycerak: where is the detail. gave you a point anyways because the track works fine on its own, lines are connected, and its visually appealing from a distance. i may be giving this too high of a mark for ride but i genuinely had a lot of fun playing this track. the ride is pretty unique too, which is where the creativity points come from.

    11th:
    11th Place (open)
    Sltg28 with a score of 13.8/30

    constructive criticism
Eryp: this is like a track that you make when you're just starting to understand the editor, which isn't a bad thing since it means you're trying to get better. the rock detail feels like randomly placed lines, though there's definitely some structure to it. ride is also ridiculously standard, but again you can tell the ideas are there. background detail is definitely the strongest element here, so props to you
Zycerak: rock seems like random brush strokes, but there are some decently executed details in the track. ride is quite boring especially at the top half, didn't feel like completing it. creativity wise, it seems like three different concepts pasted together, although i guess there are some interesting elements.

    12th:
    12th Place (open)
shrimpersgate with a score of 13.3/30!

    constructive criticism
Eryp: feels empty and not complete, but again you can see what the idea was. ride is also fun, so nice job there.
Zycerak: shrimpersgate. (initially i was going to leave the CC at that because i thought it would be funny but in hindsight it would be pretty lame. the detail is very scarce, the only actual detail being windows. but at least it's pretty clean. i initially gave the ride a much lower score i guess mainly because it was 2AM and i was tired, but looking back its not that bad. some jumps arent aligned too well and some sections are pretty jank but it's obviously a well-planned ride with some entertaining parts).

    13th:
    13th Place (open)
    G-raffe with a score of 12/30! (17/30, -5 penalty for posting late)

    constructive criticism
Eryp: i really like the way this track looks zoomed out. i can tell you have some sort of internal composition understanding, since it comes out here. feels like a pretty standard track bar the dino skull, and as zycerak pointed out it feels very empty. some sort of filler lines or structure could go a long way here. nicely done
Zycerak: what's there of the detail is pretty clean and appealing, however overall it's very bare and empty. i have the same complaints for the ride as i did for coated badger, see his constructive criticism. conceptually i really love this track, i wish it was expanded upon.

    14th:
    14th Place (open)
    JamesSparks80 with a score of 8.2/30!

    constructive criticism
Eryp: not bad for a new player. ideas are there, just not executed since you don't have much experience in the editor.
Zycerak: there is not a lot happening

    15th:
    15th Place (open)
GREEN_DOWNHILL and THECOYKID with a score of 5.8/30!

    constructive criticism
    for GREEN_DOWNHILL:
Eryp: i'll give you 1 creativity point for breaking the rules and not adding detail. ride is a little bit better than average, but there's not much here
Zycerak: there was a mark on my computer screen, and when i zoomed out, for a fraction of a second, i thought it was a small bit of detail that i had missed. but no. it was just a mark on the screen.

    for THECOYKID:
Eryp: i can tell you're new to the game, which explains everything here. don't make your track next to impossible/infuriating to complete
Zycerak: there is detail. there is a ride. there are also some concepts.

    16th:
    16th Place (open)
RangerXpr with a score of 2.7/30!

    constructive criticism
Eryp: you just fly a heli to 2 different points
Zycerak: there are lines which could qualify as detail. the ride serves as heli practice i suppose.

    17th:
    17th Place (open)
    benabraham69 with a score of 0.8/30!

    constructive criticism
    Eryp: yeah
Zycerak: 0.5 for creativity because i would feel bad giving a total of zero

There are the results! The scores are a combined overall score from the judges (Myself, Eryp and Zycerak). I honestly thought ray had me beat.

This whole contest was a huge success, people like ray and Dante improved immensely in their detail, (congrats on first feet Dante) and everyone put their best foot forward for this contest. Would recommend 10/10

    well done fellas

thanks for the support man. id say i def made up for last year. i only started playing when last years contest ended. i remember logging in and seeing all calypso and octopus's garden and being blown away by the creativity displayed in the tracks. my favourite contest ive participated in tbh (lol sorry Elibloodthirst :ugh:). it's given me a much needed break from school and all the pressure it's put on me :)
