This amuses me. I know that I am a nobody here, with no feats or awards of any kind, but that could be in my favor. Let's start with "ghosting has ruined this game forever." I find this statement incredibly confusing, especially considering your
lack of clarification regarding ghosting ruining the game. In Free Rider HD, a game I'm sure you have played, players race against other players by competing for a higher time. Other players are represented by "ghosts" that show you their best run in real-time. Every track has a Leaderboard, which shows the 10 best times/ghosts players have achieved on said track. Now, you may be wondering why I am stating something so incredibly obvious, and that's because I think anybody who knows this can understand why "ghosting" is not only popular but an integral part of the game. Ghosting is natural, as there are leaderboards that we would all like to see our names on, with an impressive show of "skill," the ghost, proving our worthiness. People tend to enjoy recognition, so it makes a lot of sense that ghosting exists. Ghosting has not ruined this game, the opposite can be easily argued, and saying that makes you look like a fool
Stig. Now unless you are willing to say that this game was doomed from the start, you are entirely wrong, with no logic or reasoning that can make you right. Quit stating your opinions as is they are facts.
Next, and lastly, ghosting as "a tool to further deceive players of your superior skills" is incredibly bold, and wrong of you to say. To an extent, I do agree with you; spacebarring is somewhat deceptive, as some may wrongly think someone did it in real-time, anyone who has played the game for awhile will know what spacebarring is, and have their own opinion of it. Yes, it may seem dishonest, but the players put time and effort into the game that you did not, and you have no right to take that away from them. I do not spacebar, partly because I can't, but mostly because I would rather achieve times "legitimately," and have a clean résumé.
I just don't understand why you seem so hellbent on destroying the game, by destroying the community. Your community. If you don't think playing the game is right, then the best thing you can do for yourself is to stop playing it, and not stop others from continuing to play.
