! MY IDEAS !

Some of these ideas can be done quickly , others MIGHT take a VEEEEEEEEERY LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG TIME to make , but , anyways , I included BOTH types of ideas !

ALL the essential shortcuts included ( Ctrl+Z = undo , etc ! )

Working offline on ALL devices ( Since it's HTML5 , I guess maybe it's easy to do that ! Maybe the ability to download tracks on your device , too ! )

COLOURS in the Track Editor ( Scenery AND lines too AND the start AND finish poles too ! )

Powerup Lines ( Basically drawing a line that contains a powerup , throughout its whole length ! With that feature included , adding powerups would be , EASY ! )

Cool Lines ( Not that I really want them , but having , slippery ice , rough rocks , and other stuff like that in the track editor , would be really fun ! )

MEGA zoom in and zoom out ( Many users , not me though , have requested that ! )

Customising how a bike looks ( NO performance upgrades , ofcourse ! ) ( Maybe with a personal and public gallery to share/add stuff ! ) ( I think the ONLY use for the coins you earn , could be this ! )

Switch between controls on mobile and tablet devices ! ( Either tiling the device , OR , arrow keys ! )

Checkpoints that DO NOT erase the stars you previously collected ( I guess that's more of a bug , than an idea ! )

Uploading images to use as scenery ( Again , not that I really do want them , but , this would be cool ! If animated GIFs and/or animated PNGs and/or animated SVGs are supported , then , that would not just be cool , but , AWESOME ! )

Collaborating on tracks together ( Previously , users used to share account passwords with each other , like maybe create a brand new account , but if collaboration becomes available , all they need is a private link that will be generated , they open the link at the SAME TIME , and start editing together ! I also was thinking that maybe there could be OPTIONAL password protection on the link , but maybe if the ALL the collaborators had an account on FRHD , then the link would be restricted to ONLY them , without a password ! And when they wish to add another FRHD member , they should be able to do that , too ! Also , a chat bar next to the track editor ! Maybe with an audio chat OPTION , just NOT a video chat one ! )

REALLY Official Tracks ( In FR3 , official tracks used to be ANY tracks that are SELECTED by the FR staff , but , what if ONLY tracks made BY the staff , and some chosen users who have previously created AWESOME tracks , are the ONLY tracks considered OFFICIAL , and are then used in the campaign mode , and can ONLY be played in that mode ONLY , !? )

A clear EVERYTHING button in the track editor ( That also should bring back that default small straight line ! )

Changing the default shortcuts ( With a ' reset to defaults " button , ofcourse ! Maybe a type of link that you click and it allows you to use the shortcuts that ANOTHER USER created ! Although that is not something that I really need ! )

I think that if there will be other vehicles , then a skateboard and a scooter are enough , although I am confused about how tracks will be built for them ! I just think that these are actual vehicles , because that almost invincible truck , that pass through ANY line blob , and those CRAZY helicopter and balloon , are just stuff for fun , and , not for making tracks with them ! Although , maybe include the truck , and disable it , on the campaign mode , um , because it's almost invincible , DUH !

Parallax scenery ( Again and again , not that I really would need it , but , that would be cool , if included ! )

An OFFICIAL wiki ! ( ALMOST EVERY , popular game , has a wiki ! )

A way to control the speed of the scrolling of the camera on the track editor , maybe a button that automatically takes you to the LAST part of your track , too !

The powerup button should change its icon AFTER selecting a powerup , instead of the powerup bar ALWAYS being shown !

A special icon for the FINAL goal , maybe like the classic two poles and the word " FINISH " written between them , and maybe something like this for the START of the track !

A way to draw your own lines and them save them so that you can use them later ( With a public gallery to add any of the user created ramps , etc , to your track , when you are editing it ! )
Also , text scenery ( With colours , font size selection , etc ! But , can HTML5 use the fonts on my computer !? I think that maybe ONLY Adobe Flash can do that , but I am not very sure ! Also , if I am able to use my installed fonts , should the track editor convert them to images , so users that do not have those fonts installed on their devices can see them , or should those font files be automatically converted to the VERY small sized .woff extension , so that the users can see REAL text instead of images , and , also , save the FRHD server costs !? )

I like the idea of downloading tracks, though I don't see that ending well, best not to bother with that.
Tilting the device would be awful for controlling the rider, unless you're a pro at snapping your neck/landing a ramp smoothly with your device at a 45 degree angle.
NO COLORS, IMAGES, OR SPECIAL LINES. This game's simplicity is what has kept it around so long.
No new vehicles, BMX is a good extreme and MTB is a good extreme for vehicles. We don't need something to fill the gap in between these, they are optimized for specific play styles and anything else made now wouldn't be taken serious.
The rest are either eh or could actually be useful. (Mega zoom? Can't hurt.)

All in all, many of the ideas sound like you're trying to make this game Happy Wheels.

 

I think that new vehicles could be purchased with coins and only usable on their specific tracks

Also, I don't want to see parallax scenery, I might be in the minority with that though.

 

Parallax Scenery may not work always. We shall have a re-think about it in the future.

Agreed^^ Good idea, new vehicles should not be scored on the normal leader board but be abe to be played on any track (IMO) I think it would be cool to see a separate (open) leader board for all other vehicles other then bmx/mtb

Your post is too long to respond to all of them, but here are my favourites:

 

Color is the worst thing that has been brought to Free Rider other than the blob. It ruins the originality of the game, others can agree. You can go to http://freerider2.org though if you want (NOT ADVERTISING)

 

Wait when was blob colored? I just remember all black

 

Lol no he said that the blob was the only thing worse than colored FR2.

Seriously, why do people hate the BLOB so much? It's a just-for-fun vehicle.
