i have a question. i am not trying to be mean, but it seems like everytime one of the staff members says that there will be a new update out very soon, there never is.
To be fair to these guys, there's only a handful of them running a huge ******* db/forum, and even then each one of them is assigned to a particular area. Then in the long run, them as a company have to aim for projects what they think are major impactful to ones that aren't as much. In example the campaigns and store upgrading is on low risk because well they can be done at anytime and it won't affect the game that much compared to something like this which will help the game run in the first place.
Most of this is delayed due to me. We needed to refactor (rewrite) the core of the game to allow the site to run as a single page app. While rewriting the internals, it made sense that we look at the rest of the site and make other improvements. These improvements include (Much faster loading , a new editor , new game dialog screens, new fullscreen mode, better mobile controls, new game settings dialog, new race screen..etc etc) . The delay is due to the fact that the whole game was rewritten and things needed to be put back together. Its the small things that take the longest. That being said. I have completed almost all of the work. There are minor bugs that need to be looked at, as well as testing to make sure all replays work and such. The new game core will allow more things to be added quicker, such as teleporting and all the cool ideas everyone has. We wont release tomorrow as its Friday, and it could basically ruin our weekend if things don't go smoothly. We would rather release Monday, and make sure we are ready for it. Velsky is working on the new campaigns as we speak, so hopefully he will update you guys on this soon. As for cosmetics, I am not sure what we have in store for that. Please be patient. I want this code released more than you do lol.
If you ever need help, I have taken college course coding... But you have to make me admin, it would boost your efficiency... e: I could program a game like FreeRiderHD within 6 months... And make it better xD
Nah, I want this game to be better, and I have actually taken 7 different college coding courses, it's fun for me
I didn't realize that the game on browser was through iframe -- never looked close at the dom I guess. React && raw canvas integration sounds like you've squeezed some serious speed out of an already crazy fast app.
