Great feedback, guys.
I did some reflection on my work after I've done it, but some flaws were left unnoticed. This feedback has raised some very interesting opinions and clear goals on where and how to improve, I want to thank you for that.
Big thanks to everybody else supporting me, you all are very sweet

 

This game is way too dead for this. Just feature at will. This is completely unnecessary.

can I use this in my signature?

 

I've always been for deserving tracks or ones created by newer players having to avoid bureaucracy when it comes to the featured list. Many players know how much I argued for, championed them and pushed for their tracks to be featured during it's strictest periods. Publicly announcing closing the gates on something that's not meant to be gatekept is an embarrassment.

On that note though go head and unfeature all mine and replace it with SMITHEREENS. 4 for 1 deal on a pretty clear and obvious feat.

 

Im perplexed by this response. Clearly not here to gatekeep tracks it's to level out inconsistencies. It's not here to stricten the featuring

 

we're not "closing the gates", we're giving people feedback on why they are or aren't getting in. it's a positive thing.

I understand not liking the voting process. but the feedback and advice is undoubtedly a good thing for trackmakers.

 

let us revive it together

 

It makes featuring stricter by default when 4 opinions are required to decide whether or not it's feature worthy.

This will prove terrible with time. It seems theoretically good right now while multiple (not "too many") blatantly obvious feature worthy tracks are being made, but later on when activity dies down again and the community returns to relative inactivity, it becomes a waste of everyone's time to keep this system in place.

well why not have this system in place while it does make sense to have it? the prior (non-existent) system is not the better alternative btw.
