      Sorry to say, but that's kind of a dumb system. Because that puts, statistically, the best player, Cerasium, with the worst player, honestly me, but by rank, YourKidding. That pretty much guarantees YourKidding's elimination in the first round and makes sure that Cerasium will make it to the Quarterfinals where, once there, he would be facing either me or CHARREDLIZZARD21, who I probably won't win against. If I do manage, that instantly gives Cerasium another win, and so on and so forth. This makes it so that it will be, almost without a doubt, but DrChill could beat RedOrBlue, who knows, but the competition will most likely be between RoB and Cerasium.

      But again, that's exactly the intention. This isn't an entire new competition, this is like the ORG Playoffs / ORG Finals, so the effort you put on getting a decent rank during the regular season grant you some advantage in this End Of Season Tournament, as it's expected in many kinds of tournaments for different sports. If the final match is Cerasium vs RedOrBlue, that will happen because they beat 3 other players in the process, so they deserved to be there. I don't get this kind of complaint. Cerasium and RedOrBlue are only facing top players for like 20 weeks straight, so they (alongside everyone in the top) deserve some advantage in the End Of Season Tournament, although we'll have many tough matches because of the new players that joined and are killing it. If someone doesn't want to get paired with them right away, let's try to climb up the ranks then. It's not like you can escape one of the top players forever.

      I'm just trying to get out of dead last so I DON'T have to play Cerasium

      In the past, whenever I make a time on a great track, Cerasium beats it ~5 minutes later. I don't, I can't, I won't. I'll just instantly concede and take the loss.

      At first I thought it was dumb too, but I think another benefit is that the pairings make more sense when you consider the final pairings need to be the best. If you pair the top two players right away ... now what? What if someone below 2nd could have beat them? The order of the matches wouldn't make sense.

      So yeah, this system makes sense. If you manage to beat someone higher up, you deserve the higher placement. If you are in a higher placement and can't beat someone lower than you... you probably shouldn't be that high. So this system kind of does a last-minute skill sort.
