This week's race will be on this track:

ORG - Week 26 - Bonus Round by Totoca12

So that's it, we are having a bonus round this week. Yeah, I usually don't like making the ORG Bonus Round tracks entirely on my own, since I'm in the contest, but everyone else from the ORG team was busy, so I had to do it. Not sure if the track is the best one possible, but I tried to pull off something together in like 2 days that wasn't super hard but wasn't that easy either. Let's see if I managed to do that.

This week's bonus round is an interesting one. It's like a "league" round between each rank, meaning that the Wood rank players will face everyone else from the Wood rank, the Bronze rank players will be facing everyone else from the Bronze rank, and it's the same thing for the Silver, Gold and Platinum ranks. For the Master and the Diamond ranks, things will be a bit different. Cerasium is alone on his rank and he is over 100 points ahead of the 2nd place, so in terms of the ranks it's not entirely fair putting him against the Diamond rank players. But that's the only way we can make this work, so he'll be paired with the Diamond rank players anyways, although he'll have 15 points deducted of his final score for the round, no matter where he finishes in the final standings. This might seem harsh, but it really isn't, since he'll still win more points than everyone else in his match if he finishes in 1st place, just won't be that much more.

Also, we are working with 2 bonuses for this round.

1 - Challenges: People that are on a challenge will gain additional 20 points if they beat their challenge partners on this round, it doesn't matter if they are paired against each other or not. The losers of the challenges will have 20 points deducted of whatever outcome they have regarding their points. If they didn't complete the track and lost 30 points, they will lose 50, if they gained like 60 points, they will gain 40.

2 - Overall Placement: If a player from outside the top 10 in the contest finishes in the top 10, they will gain 10 extra points. If they finish in the top 5, they will gain 15 extra points. If they finish in 1st place they'll gain 20 extra points.

If a player from the top 10 in the contest (but outside the top 5) finishes in the top 5, they will gain 10 extra points. If they finish in 1st place, they will gain 15 extra points.

If a player from the top 5 (but not 1st place) finishes in 1st place, they will get 10 extra points.

If the 1st place manages to have a bigger lead over the 2nd place than the 2nd place has over the 3rd place, the player will get extra 10 points.

Any questions let me know. You guys have 72 hours to complete the track. I'll be tagging people in the track soon. For this round, if you complete the track it'll be counted as a win, and if you don't, it'll be counted as a loss.

PS: Danger Zone situation:

It's possible that even if some players in the Danger Zone win their matches they would still be eliminated, so we are doing something different. If the players in the Danger Zone complete the track, they will be "immune" to being eliminated for 1 more week, so they will have another chance to avoid being eliminated in Week 27. So, to stay in the contest, JustAGDFan, Fluoride and Blank_Guy just need to complete the track. Outside the Danger Zone, Trilix and The_L_Team also have to complete the track to stay in the contest.​

 

So are you thinking about dropping out or are you announcing that you are doing it?

 

I think we had this for 1 or 2 bonus rounds. We are just trying to not make the same bonuses over and over in those rounds. I wasn't sure if I wanted to put a bomb obstacle in the track, but the track was pretty easy up to that part in my opinion, so I guess the last 2 obstacles make the track a bit more challenging.

But we can consider making another bonus round where you can't lose points, but I'm not sure. There's only 9 rounds left so we'll probably only have like 1 or 2 more bonus rounds. So no guarantees, since we might want to do something different.
