Contest ORG Season 1 - Contest Over - All The Prizes Out Now!

REALLY MINOR UPDATE:

We set up some new tie breaker criteria: If 2 players are tied, whoever completed the most tracks will be ahead. If the tie remains, then the player with the best win percentage will be ahead. I think those 2 will be enough, but we are considering using "Highest Score" as a 3rd tie breaker criteria and "Current Streak" as the 4th. The tie-breakers will be important for medals in the regular season and for spots in the End of Season Tournament. If we need to add or change anything regarding the tie-breaker criteria on ORG we'll let you guys know.

 

That's exactly the intention. If we consider the percentage of wins first, someone that just came in with a 3-0 win/loss ratio and has 1100 points would have an advantage over someone that had a 9-6 win/loss ratio and the same 1100 points. The thing is that the second player has been grinding on the contest for 15 weeks. This is a contest that is happening since March and will have 35 weeks total, so we'll prioritize consistency and activity. If you couldn't play for some weeks, that's unfortunate, but there are players that were active during that time and they don't deserve to be "punished" for that, so a "reward" in this case is more than fair. So our intentions were exactly that: in case of a tie, we'll prioritize giving the placement to the most consistent and active player. I think it's pretty fair to be honest.

 

UPDATE - MEDAL APPLICATION

Hey, guys. What's up? So we want to have some cool medals for the ORG this year. It's been a massive effort throughout the year by the players, the hosts and sometimes a few trackmakers, so it would be cool if we had some good stuff in the end to reward the best players in the competition. We are trying to work on some coin prizes (no guarantees yet, but it's very possible) and we would also like to have some cool medals for it as well. We contacted some players about it, but most of them are too busy right now, so we decided to be open for medal applications, lol. We don't want to use the same one from other ghosting contests because this one was different enough.

If you are interested, here is what you need to do:

- Make a 1st place medal.
- Make a 2nd place medal.
- Make a 3rd place medal.
- Make a Top 5 medal (for the 4th and 5th placed players).
- Make a Top 10 medal (for the 6th-10th placed players)
- Send them to me, Madara or Eryp via forums or Discord.
- Wait for us to give us some feedback and see if it's good to go or not.

You can use your creativity to decide what should be on the medals. A trophy? A number indicative of the placement? An ORG sign? A bike? It doesn't matter, as long as it fits the general idea of the contest. You guys have until the end of the regular season (December 6th) to make them if you are interested. We'll use the traditional top 3 trophies for the End Of Season Tournament.

Since I'm posting it here, it'll be mostly viewed by ORG players or by players that are following the ORG, but if you think that there's someone else out there that would be up for doing the medals, you can send this to them, no problem.

Not at all. We just don't have any cool medals right now. So we are posting this to see whatever shows up. Feel free to give it a try using any software you want.

 

I guess it shouldn't be anything that huge, but I don't think it matters that much, since we can resize it if needed. The trophy medal for ghosting contests is 56 x 85 for example.

I think it's kinda cool, some others from the team liked it as well. Do you want to give it a try making all 5 medals? This one could be for 1st place (if we ended up using it), and you could have others for 2nd place, 3rd place, Top 5 and Top 10. Feel free to add or change anything, but I liked the idea.
