actually i do know, Madara will not and cannot participate in the contest because he is the track picker and he gets to practice on the track making it unfair if he joined unless eryp started being the only track selecter

Lately, Eryp is picking most of the tracks. Madara and I usually play a bigger part on choosing or making the tracks when it's a bonus round. When it isn't the case, Eryp picks a track or maybe 2 or 3 and we discuss about which one that will be more appropriate for the contest (based on length, type of the track and on how many players from the contest played the track). But Eryp has the final word on this, unless he can't do it on a week for some reason.
Lately we use a site to generate matches randomly, so it's not that big of a deal. I had to make the matchups for last week, since Madara couldn't. I just copied the names from each rank, put them there, and copied back the results.

So yeah, usually Madara and I respond here in the thread, Eryp picks the tracks, I make the announcements for beginning and end of the rounds, Madara does the matchups and the calculations of the scores with the ELO system, and we all discuss all the new ideas on our convo, but sometimes it doesn't work exactly like this. Last week I did the matchups and calculated the results, but there were 2 weeks where Madara had to do the announcements for me as well, so we always do whatever is necessary at the moment. For example, I won't be able to close the round next Monday, so Madara is probably going to do that as well.

I feel like despite the contest being hosted by admins/mods it's not like it is the most official thing, with ideas coming from the developers, so as long as we can trust the team we don't need to be that strict.

I hosted the Free Rider World Cups 3, 4 and 5 and Madara hosted the Ghosting Battle Contests 1 and 2, and we both ghosted, hosted and made tracks for those contests, and I don't believe it was exactly unfair. In the last Free Rider World Cup I lost a match to spruce on spruce's track, and a match to Madara on my track, so I don't think it matter too much. We don't go practicing a thousand of times in the editor before we publish the tracks, lol. At least not after they are ready. What happened was that some of the people taking the initiative on doing these contests are also people who enjoy competing on it as much as they do hosting it, haha.

I just feel like we didn't open for everybody on ORG to be able to make tracks and ghost in the ORG since there's too many people, and if we let one player do it, we had to be open to do it for everyone, and that could be chaotic. Also, most of the tracks are already published, so it isn't a factor as important as it was in the Free Rider World Cups, where I had the initiative, the ideas, but didn't have the tracks, haha. I feel like it's a different scenario.
