Yeah, man. Sorry for that. As someone just pointed out, now we have over 2000 replies on this thread, and the team was really busy this past month, so we for sure missed it. But you can join now and we'll include you in this week's round. We didn't make the matchups yet.

 

QUICK UPDATE:

After realizing that the Bronze rank now has a really big variation in the scores between the players on that rank (from 586 to 999, lol), we decided to create an "Unranked" section from players that have their scores between 601 and 800 points. Players from the Unranked section will usually only face other "Unranked" players, with rare exceptions. The Bronze rank will now only consist on players that have between 801 and 1000 points. Also, we are creating a new rule: if go below the 600 points mark (which is high unlikely), you'll be removed from the contest, since it would indicate that you didn't ghost barely any tracks.

At the moment, only RishiBansal is below the 601 points mark, so since it's already his last chance to not be removed from the contest this week (since he didn't ghost the last 4 tracks), we'll give him 1 more chance to earn points and continue in the contest.

We are creating those new rules to make sure that everyone that is in the contest is still somewhat checking the thread once in a while, and also because some matches in the Bronze rank were starting to get unfair.​

 

We can think about this situation later. But the last placed player in the spreadsheet who ghosted all of the tracks that he was supposed to ghost in the contest is in 33rd place out of 58, so it's very unlikely that whay you said will happen.

Every new player now starts with 950 points. So getting under 601 points is a long road. We had the first one to do it only on this round, after 9 weeks of doing this. But it's mostly because he didn't ghost 7 of the tracks, so an additional penalty of -30 per week can be harsh. But ghosting the tracks (or at least trying) is the point of the contest, so I think it's a fair penalty.

 

Now they are made randomly using a program, so there's not much that we have to do, haha. You are going to face someone from the Bronze rank, so it's not like you are going to face someone like RedOrBlue right away. Good luck, though. Nice. Something you can do for the next round (if you want) is challenging people. You can challenge any player that is in the same rank or above you. If you win, you get more points than usual, but if you lose, you lose more points than usual as well. You can use 2 challenges for each 10 rounds. I feel like it's an idea to climb up the ranks faster. If you challenge someone from a rank above, you might get more points than a normal challenge (if it's 2+ ranks above).
