I now have a second, far better version of the star fixer! This removes some of the functionality but greatly increases performance. (and really, if you were just looking to remove a single star, there was probably too much functionality to begin with) This version will only look at stars and will only give you the location of the star and distance from the origin, not the object it's closest to. This should be enough for nearly all purposes, but if it's not, I have kept the old version in case you need it.
Chromebook users- The new, better version is stored at https://colab.research.google.com/gist/Pie42/876d4f259b7f38aa507aa8b394c97844/mini-star-fixer.ipynb. The old, worse version is stored at https://colab.research.google.com/gist/Pie42/882cab84aaa556c2aba603c2c8f5ffe2/star-fixer.ipynb. When you try to run it, it will probably say to make sure that I'm not trying to steal your data. I'm not. If you don't trust me, don't run it. This is the best solution I could come up with, and as far as I can tell, it works. You will (probably) need to sign into a google account in order to run the project.(which is really annoying and inconvenient and doesn't help my "I'm not stealing your data" case, sorry. I don't want your data, and you'll just have to trust my good intentions.) In order to interact with it, you will need to scroll to the very bottom of the script, and then just upload a track code and enjoy. Also, with uploading a track code, I'm not trying to steal that either, but if you don't trust me, don't use it. Once again, if there are any bugs, just tell me.
Non-chromebook users- The new and improved version is called mini star fixer.txt. star_fixer.txt is the old, worse version that takes forever to run.
I doubt this thread will get any attention, but I don't really care since I made this tool for me to use and then just decided to share it with the world.
Made on an Acer CB5-311, the pinnacle of Chromebook design.
If you need to use this, enjoy!
If not, have a nice day!
(btw it's a .txt file because the forums won't let me upload a .py file, if you want, you can change the extension, but I think it works exactly the same way)

No problem! That's why I made it!

I hope you never have to use it, but that it's useful when you need it!

You can paste this code snippet into a code block:
and then click the arrow button to the side of the code block to run it. it will have you upload a file, upload the .txt file and then it will work.
to run it again after uploading, just use the third line

It should work for big tracks. What happens?
(also, i uploaded a new version to the original post that might help, where it sorts the stars by distance from nearest thing)

it takes a long time and then says that the code is not valid.

Could you potentially send me the code in a private conversation(so that I can do some testing, not to steal it)?

Thanks! Unfortunately, there are still some bugs if you use it in google colaboratory, but I'm working on those!

The version for people on chromebooks has been tested and improved and just generally made better. ;)
There was also an update for the .txt file a while ago that made it better.

I don't really understand what you mean by this. On the bright side, it actually works now!

Assuming that I'm interpreting both you and Netsik correctly, stars are a capital t followed by a pair of coordinates(e.g. "T 0 0" for a star at (0, 0)).
