Hey guys, I was thinking about hosting (or helping to host) a racing competition in the forums, because it has been a while since the last one, and I think another one should be good. So I'm thinking about this for a while, and I decided to make a thread about it to see if people are excited about it or not. If it's really going to happen I would need some people to make tracks for the competition, and since I don't have Pro and almost any coins in general, I would have to ask Char or someone else for coins. Also, I would like to participate but I'm not sure if I can because my left arrow on my keyboard is kinda broke, so I'm not being able to ghost well for a while, and I don't know when I will be able to fix it. But I might give it a try. So, what I need to know in this thread? I wanna know who would like to participate as a ghoster, and also as a trackmaker or sponsor. You are allowed to have 2 choices in the pool, for the cases racer and sponsor, and trackmaker and sponsor. Future details, like the championship format (cup or league), the actual name of the competition (would have to talk to DblU to see if the name is okay), punctuation system and other stuff, we can discuss later, if people support the idea. I'd like this contest to have a little bit of every kind of track (except autos, of course). I think we should have an offroad, a track with some smooth jumps, a hard trial and at least a track with some parts needing to use the helicopter, a track that has a tube at some point, you get the idea. I'm not aiming for a ridiculously difficult competition, but it wouldn't be that easy either. But I think that everyone who wants to participate should be able at least to complete the tracks. I'll join in with the ghosting I suppose. I'll never win anything of course, but it'll be super fun at least. Put me in!
It's cool either way, but thank you, anyways. But I hope to be able to have some competitive tracks. It's not like I'm an easy track type of guy either. Also, this is one of the reasons that I would like to have some trackmakers helping, to help to have different kinds and styles of tracks.
I was kind of joking earlier. I'm still willing to help if help is needed. If I did make a trial, I'd give it to you first so you could look it over and change parts as needed. Also, thanks for organizing this!
That's awesome. I'll not promise any big prizes unless that I actually have it with me. But I think it will be fun just for the competition. But I think we can get a acceptable pot prize.
Sounds good. And it's no problem, man. I always wanted another competition and I even said this a few times in the forums, asking if someone would be willing to do it, but I realized that I didn't have to wait for anyone to do it. And since nothing was stopping me from doing it, I decided to do it. PS: I never hosted anything here, but I'll try my best to organize this in a nice way. PS2: And since it's looking like it's happening, I'll probably do a poll tomorrow asking about the format of the competition, and some rules. I have some ideas in my mind, but I'm open to suggestions. And also, we have to come up with a schedule, see how many trackmakers we have, and I will try to figure out the pot prize.
