Well as a tip, trees will always grow upward. Even if the ground is tilted, the tree grows straight up in the opposite direction of gravity. Biggest tip for the detail of the tree itself is to try and clean it up some. i can tell it is small, so make sure our lines aren't overlapping awkwardly in the branches and needles.

Plenty of trees grow slanted due to wind/natural factors when the stems are malleable and non-woody. :)

Easier to add more detail to that tree if you did it in a slightly larger scale, though.

Trees grow upwards so their leaves can attract the most sunlight possible. If a tree can’t get much sunlight it will either die or begin to grow so that its leaves can reach the light. Because of this trees are never exactly symetrical.
When i draw trees, I start with two very slightly slanted lines as the base for the tree trunk (You can make this short as you want, some trees split up super low). Then as you work upwards, the trunk branches out to two or three sections. Those sections break up the same way and so on and so on. Remember that trees are never symmetrical, so make them all different widths and lengths. Another thing i see a lot of artists forget on this game is depth. Trees are not 2d so if you add some branches coming out you or going back it’ll look a lot more realistic. The last tip I want to include is that adding a lot of branches makes the tree better but you dont want all the branches to get super chaotic

Thanks for the feedback, I probably should've added some context to why they tree was sideways and yes my biggest problem right now is scale, just have to find a happy medium between that tree and this one: https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/308771-treehouse lol
Ishu, I'll definitely use your advice when Im drawing trees at a normal scale and of a different species.

    Context for my last image:

Here's a preview from the mario project. The levels previewed are formerly known as level 4 and 5.

For those who dont know, we've merged all the levels together into one project, and these are previews of the now water world and the mountain world inside this track.
The track will most likely be an own campaign by itself. and the track is now really long, and challenging. (there are also hidden leves outside the main route that you may explore).
We are aiming to get this beast out by early january.
As you may have noticed by our avatars there are now 4 dedicated people working actively on this project every single day. me, Max007x , Ness and mR..A .
people who have previously contributed to this project whose work is still within the project (old levels, detail we have not removed) are Maple and alexander.
others that have contributed to a various, but generally small degree (but still deserve a shout) are spruce CityShep pssst pinn THEend
