      speaking of lord of the rings i watched the last hobbit movie yesterday......boy was that herendous. The first one was good the second and third were trash tbh

      tbh, it seemed like they did stretch them a bit thin for three movies. I liked the first, was kinda sketchy about the second one in its ending, and the third i thought opened horribly. Also, the amount of money that they spent on those movies is stupidly high, being over 750 million for just three movies...
      HOWEVER, the special effects were, well, freaking amazing. You have to at least say that. It kinda felt that they wanted more of 'BOOM POW AMAZING CRAZY MICHAEL BAY EXPLOSIONS' than the way that the original trilogy took with more of a story there, but those explosions were pretty impressively well made.
      so in general, i thought that the Hobbit trilogy took what I liked about the original Fellowship of the Ring film, as in having a more happy tone and general more lighthearted approach imo. Other people probably will disagree with me on that, but that's how i saw it: A not as dark version of its predecessors.
