Sometime in April I posted about a monthly contest called Budget Battle (for more info on that check out the thread called “Attention Forza Players”). However, the contest is not doing very well. Please can you guys help give me pointers on what I can do or tell me what I’m doing wrong? I kind of want to keep this thing going and I had high hopes for it. I haven’t really promoted it anywhere, any ideas where I could?
The best option would be to make a good track about your contest that you know will become popular, so people who play your track will see the contest. In fact, it might be best to make your own entry to the contest so that people have a reference and will see what it's like. Although you've made a thread about the contest on forums, maybe you could make a new forum thread detailing about your contest, but put everything from the google doc on the thread. Here's a few examples for you to look at: Pokémon Card Contest by Volund Transition Contest by Elibloodthirst You could also try to message Totoca12 and try to get your contest officially registered, or maybe even ask for an announcement on forums. I'm not too sure how these work, though.
That's a google doc that details his contest, not a forum thread. Although it's good that he put a lot of effort into the doc, it doesn't really do much to advertise on Free Rider, as more people will be checking the contest forums and not his signature and status. Edit: Yeah, you're right. He does have a forum thread already, but I think it'd be better to put all the info on the doc into the thread. Or just make a new one altogether, because no one'll see the thread now, since it's a few months old already.
