      Paying large sum of coins would definitely cut back on the number of guilds and is something similar that we have done in one of our games.

      Thinking about this a bit more, I guess it would make sense to have 2 group types one for riders and one for authors, a player could technically be in 2 different groups of different types but not of the same. So a player could be in a "racer" group that competes against other racer groups and one author group that competes against other author groups.

      Tags would show up as applicable - on race leaderboards would show their race group on track they authored would show their author group. Make sense?

      Allowing players to be involved in multiple race or author groups would make the distinction / listing weird I think. What are your thoughts?

      There should be a thing when making the guild to choose author or rider guild. Then they could choose at least how many total likes for authors and how many points for riders? I think that would be a good idea

      Just one request: can we not call them "guilds"? This game is far from medieval. :p
      I prefer "groups", but "clans" or something like it might work too. What would be a synonym for "group" that is biking related?

      Not divergent, I used to play a lot of groups fighting against each other back in my Minecraft days, they were called factions :D
