JUNE 2021 - Ghosting Awards Results

GHOSTERS OF THE MONTH:

1 - Cerasium - Cerasium is the ghoster on the rise for these past couple of months for sure. He was still doing good since the beginning of the year, but earlier we had Cerulean and Xverse being the main big new ghosters to take over the game, with some other cool ones like DrChill doing great as well. But lately, Cerasium has showed no mercy for his opponents, and as I'm writing this, he recently beat Anonyymi and RedOrBlue in the featured ghosts leaderboard, and now he's just behind Cerulean. Last month the ghost mods and I didn't have time to make an update on the Official Featured Ghosts thread, so all of the featured ghosts he gained were stolen ones, showing that his skills are in the same level as the all-time top ghosters for this game, or at least something really close to that. Just like in May, he gained and kept 12 featured ghosts in June, which is crazy. He's already doing great in July as well. The man is on fire! He also did really good on ORG again last month. Really crazy month, easy call for 1st place.

2 - tetrationiscool - The man himself made a small comeback and did really good. After being quite inactive for a while, the legend tetrationiscool came back and did some really great ghosts. Even with some competition from some of the new great ghosters on some tracks, he managed to secure 3 new features, that are all great cuts on previously known featured ghosts. Really well-done. Deserving second place for tetrationiscool.

3 - Xverse - It was really hard deciding the 3rd place this month. The main contenders were RedOrBlue and Xverse, and we ended up deciding in favor of Xverse. It was hard to decide, but Xverse pulled off another really good month in the game, participated of some ghosting battles and ended up getting 3 new features last month. Really solid performance, with some really great ghosts like the one on Kakotopia Trial.

Shoutouts: Anonyymi, Madara and DrChill got involved on some ghosting battles, which was really cool to see, but the main shoutout goes to RedOrBlue. He almost made to the list. Just like most of his months in the game lately, he did great, with some cool ghosts, involvement in some ghosting battles, gained 2 new features and did really good on ORG. He's pretty much in the top 5 ghosters every month, so it's cool to see his consistency and really advanced skills in the game. Almost there for this month

GHOST OF THE MONTH:

Just after a lot of discussion, we decided to give it to the great ghost on GENERATION, from tetrationiscool. Some other ghosts that were considered and received votes were tetrationiscool's ghost on haunted housed fixed, that had a really good cut, Xverse's ghost on KAKOTOPIA TRIAL, that is just brilliant, and Trainer_Bob's ghost on Wolfram's Pilot, that we don't know if it's from last month, but we know it's kinda recent and it was discovered last month. It's a really insane ghost, that doesn't seem to be made using TAS, but we also don't know much about Trainer_Bob, so it's hard to be 100% sure about the legitimacy of this. Still, really dope ghost, but we ended up choosing the GENERATION one from tetrationiscool. Great job again tetrationiscool.

JULY 2021 - Ghosting Awards Results

GHOSTERS OF THE MONTH:

1 - Cerasium - Well this is kind of a no brainer. What is there left to say, lol? The guy got and kept 28 features made in July (plus some others from previous months), so there is no doubt of who was the ghoster of the month in July. This was probably the best month by anyone ever on this game, and that's saying something. The guy went nuts! Also, he beat RedOrBlue for the 2nd time in the ORG last month, so that's a great accomplishment as well. So yeah, deserved first place again to the legend in the making Cerasium for the 3rd time in a row. Good stuff!

2 - Madara - The second place from last month was also pretty clear. Madara did an awesome comeback on being active on getting features in the past couple of months. He broke his own personal record of featured ghosts, got 2nd place in the list passing names like RedOrBlue and Anonyymi and gave some problems to Cerasium, finishing with his best month on this game yet. An insane amount of 15 features kept that were made from July. Really insane work. Madara participated in many ghosting battles and was really active in the past month, with a really solid amount of good ghosts, so he deserves the 2nd place here. Congrats!

3 - Xverse - Just like in June, it was really hard to decide the 3rd place from July. Xverse and RedOrBlue were again the main contenders, alongside Anonyymi this time. We ended up voting for Xverse, mostly because of the quality of his 3 features from last month and also for his involvement in the ghosting battles in the last week of July. Great work again! Another top 3 for you.

Shoutouts: Mainly to RedOrBlue and Anonyymi this time. Both of them kept 2 features made last month and did a great month, but we thought that they were slightly behind the top 3. RedOrBlue got 2 features as a result of battles against Cerasium, which is never easy, so it was a good performance. As for Anonyymi, he stole 2 ghosts from Cerasium as well, with new iconic ghosts on Race Track and also Gavin's Soup, that was already a track with legendary ghosts and that had just had an iconic ghosting battle between RedOrBlue and Cerasium on ORG. Sick stuff from Anonyymi as well.

GHOST OF THE MONTH:

We had some other great suggestions, like Madara's ghost on Crumble, Cerasium's ghosts on both Satan Escape Unfin and eGod, but the biggest battle was between Anonyymi's ghost on Gavin's Soup that is amazing and very iconic and Xverse's ghost on Brush #5, that might be one of the best climb ghosts we ever had on the list. 3 players from the team mentioned Xverse's ghost, but since 4 players mentioned Anonyymi's ghost and Anonyymi agreed with the picks in general, we thought that was fair to go with the one in Gavin's Soup. Tetrationiscool's ghost there was voted as the 2nd best from 2020, Cerasium beat it in the ORG round after an iconic battle with RedOrBlue and then Anonyymi just went there and crushed everyone. Major props for Xverse for his ghost, but Anonyymi's ghost on Gavin's Soup takes the Ghost of the Month for July. Congrats Anonyymi!

AUGUST 2021 - Ghosting Awards Results

GHOSTERS OF THE MONTH:

1 - RedOrBlue - Well, just like in February, when the Free Rider World Cup 5 took place, this month was different. With the Ghosting Battle Contest 3 happening, most of the players didn't really were active on getting new features, so since the main ghosting related thing from the month was the GBC3, that weighs more on the ghosting awards for this month. But here we go! It wasn't easy to decide, especially since he ended up finishing in 2nd place in the GBC3, but we all voted for RedOrBlue to be the August Ghoster of Month and here's why. If it was an individual ghosting contest with the same score system used for all GBCs, the GBC3 winner would have been RedOrBlue, with 273 points. He finished in 1st place on 5 out of the 10 GBC3 rounds and was the best ghoster in the contest overall. So, since the Ghoster of the Month is an individual award, we felt like RedOrBlue getting the 1st place in August is fair. Other than his performance in the GBC3, he also got 2 new features, finishing with a really solid month. Good stuff, RedOrBlue!

2 - Cerasium - Really close to our 1st place, we have Cerasium. Another really solid month, took the W in the GBC3, got the lead in 2 rounds and also got 2 additional features in August. If the GBC3 was an individual contest, Cerasium would have finished in 2nd place, with 264 points. Great job, another insane month, 2nd place for you this time.

3 - Madara - 3rd place goes to the guy that carried me in the GBC3, haha. If that was an individual contest, Madara would have finished it in 3rd place, with 255 points. He managed to still finish in 3rd place in the actual contest, did a remarkable performance with 1st places in 2 rounds, and even had time to get 3 more features. Good stuff from Madara, deserving 3rd place.

Shoutouts: Just like in February, when Cork ended up left out of the top 3, I'm mad this month as well. This time we had one of the best months ever from Chaos-Fallen, especially in the last week. The guy stole 7 features, had some decent suggestions and finished in 4th place in the GBC3. We considered putting him in the top 3, but since we felt like he let the pace slow down a bit on the GBC3 close to the end and the top 3 also got featured ghosts outside the contest (and might get more from the contest) we weren't sure if it was fair to remove one of the 3 that dominated the month. Chaos-Fallen last week in August deserves a shoutout and he did some stuff in September as well, so keep going, man! Congrats on teh Legendary Ghoster medal again. Another big shoutout goes to tetrationiscool that got 5 features in August plus some other decent ghosts, really solid job, keep it going. If you keep up the pace from what you did in the last couple weeks of August and what you are doing now in September you have great chances of getting top 3 for this month. Some other shoutouts go to Cerulean, Stevie.T, RadiumRC, Uniior, Eunos, DrChill and others that did good in the GBC3 as well.

So we thought it would be fair to put the ghost that might have been the best one from the GBC3 as the best ghost of the month. Yeah, Cerulean did some great technical ghosts like https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/825384-haha-scrance-19/r/cerulean and https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/824395-haha-sc-rance-17/r/cerulean in August, but we decided to go with RedOrBlue's ghost given the relevancy of the ghost and the intense competition on the track, besides the obvious skills in the ghost. Congrats RedOrBlue for winning this award again!
