JANUARY 2021 - Ghosting Awards Results

    GHOSTERS OF THE MONTH:

1 - Sharkfin/Cerulean - Here we go again. Although last month we had many dope ghosters doing well in the ghosting community, we can't deny the insane performance made by Cerulean in January. I don't know if last month was more impactful on the community than the last 2 months before that for him, but it's by far the month where he got the best stats for sure. He got a total of 16 features in January, but some are ghosts from December, so we didn't count them all for this. Still, he got 11 features made last month and we decided as a team that it was only fair if he got this award again. He was the first one to win this 2 times and 2 times in a row, and now will be the first one to win this 3 times and 3 times in a row. Also, he got his Recognized Ghoster medal, his Pro Ghoster medal and his Legendary Ghoster medal last month, so it couldn't be different. He also did start the Free Rider World Cup 5 strong, in the end of January, so yeah, no discussion for his 1st place last month. He now has set some records of being the fastest to get Legendary Ghoster medal (since 1st feature, Recognized Ghoster medal and Pro Ghoster medal). Nicely done!

Some dope ghosts from him from last month:

2 - Xverse - Another month with a top-notch fight. Just because Cerulean did an amazing job on the month, it doesn't mean that he didn't have any competition. Xverse decided to go for entering the list last month and he totally killed it. He got a total of 10 features, with 9 of them being from ghosts from January, so it was a close call against Cerulean. He has made several new interesting suggestions that are being reviewed, so this number could get even bigger. What an insane month for Xverse. He got his first feature, Recognized Ghoster medal and Pro Ghoster medal last month, setting new records for fastest to reach the Recognized Ghoster and Pro Ghost medals. Sadly, he didn't join the Free Rider World Cup 5, but he still did enough to deserve this 2nd place. Congrats!

Some dope ghosts from him from last month:

3 - spruce - This was a really tough call. There were many great ghosters close for the 3rd place for us, but we felt like spruce deserved it the most. With an epic comeback on the past couple of months, spruce continued the good work, got 2 new featured ghosts last month, made some good new suggestions and had an amazing start on the Free Rider World Cup 5 in January. We felt like he really deserved to be top 3 of the month, so here he is.

Some dope ghosts from him from last month:

Shoutouts: Backtwice takes one of the big shoutouts of the month. With an insane new feature and an impressive comeback for the Free Rider World Cup 5, he did great in January. Of course, it's clear that he'll be on top 3 for February due to his performance on the contest, but he already deserved a shoutout for January. Stevie.T also deserves a big shoutout again for his amazing start on the Free Rider World Cup 5, some dope suggestions and the insane ghost on Magnum Opus. RedOrBlue and BoostButt deserve some shoutouts as well for good suggestions on the thread and a great start on the contest and Chaos-Fallen, DrChill, Giampitek and mudkip also deserve some minor ones for their beginning on the contest as well.

    GHOST OF THE MONTH:

https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/191253-magnum-opus/r/stevie.t - Although I personally loved Backtwice's new feature,we all agreed that the "fall" on an iconic ghost and the "rise" of another should be acknowledged, so we decide to choose Stevie.T's ghost on Magnum Opus as the ghost of the month! Congrats, Stevie.T! So many times close, but now you finally won an ghosting award, haha! Your endurance on hard long tracks should be rewarded properly. Congrats!

FEBRUARY 2021 - Ghosting Awards Results

    GHOSTERS OF THE MONTH:

1 - mudkip - February was different. Although we did have an update on the Official Featured Ghosts thread last month, the majority of the attention in the ghosting community was directed to the Free Rider World Cup 5, hosted by me alongside Eryp, Madara and BrandonBishop50. So, although we did consider what was done outside the contest for this month, we couldn't deny that the contest was the most relevant thing in the ghosting community in February. However, this placement wasn't exactly unanimous among the team. Mudkip did great and won the whole thing, but we can't deny the excellent performances of Backtwice and BoostButt. In most of the aspects, like combined time, average time, amount of 1st places they were mostly better than mudkip in the contest, but whenever it was needed to win, mudkip always prevailed, so we decided to give the 1st place of the month to the champion. He didn't get any features in the month, but we felt like his perfomance in the contest was enough for the 1st place, although it was a tough call. His ghosts in the Qualifiers and the final track were really impressive, so mudkip takes his first monthly ghosting award home.

Some dope ghosts from him from last month:

    Show Spoiler

2 - Backtwice - Following what was said for mudkip, we have Backtwice as the 2nd place. He even got one vote for best ghoster of the month, despite finishing the contest in 2nd. Out of the 4 semifinalists, he was the player with the best combined time and killed it every single round. However, he didn't ghost the final track and ended up in second in the contest, and that absence alone made him go from the obvious choice for first place to being discussed if he should be in the top 3 at all this month. This is mostly because the 3rd place did an amazing job and we had at least 3 other ghosters killing it last month. But after some discussion, we decided to honor his great comeback and performance in the contest and give him the 2nd place in this category for last month. Great job! Another top 3 for Backtwice.

Some dope ghosts from him from last month:

    Show Spoiler

3 - BoostButt - So here he goes. Man, this was hard. BoostButt had overall a better combined time than everyone that made it through the final track (not sure about him and Backtwice before the last track, but Backtwice didn't ghost the last track, so he takes this one), excluding the 2 exclusive rounds for the Losers Championship, of course. Also, he was the only one that had to ghost all 10 tracks of the contest, and he did a great job in every single one of them, with first places in 2 different rounds, and a really close 2nd place in the final one. He was unlucky to get in a tough group and not advance to the Round of 16 despite having the 4th best combined time from the Group Stage (overall he might have had the best combined time overall at that point in his group, since he got 2nd in the Qualifiers). It was sad, but he kept fighting, beat Zycerak, RedOrBlue, spruce, Giampitek, Pie42, Cerulean and Chaos-Fallen and took a very deserving 3rd place. He also made some good suggestions in the Official Featured Ghosts thread so we were sure that we had to have him in the top 3 for this month. And if we had him it would be fair to the contest and the ghosters, to have Backtwice and mudkip above him. But the last month was a remarkable one for BoostButt, that finally made the top 3.

Some dope ghosts from him from last month:

Shoutouts: Now I'm mad. I'm really mad that we couldn't include Cork in this. He probably had his best month in this game so far and was a great piece of discussion on the team convo, because he deserves to be mentioned. But we couldn't deny the effort and the accomplishments from the top 3, so this time the contest weighed more than the featured ghosts. Cork got 4 amazing features and at least a couple more good ghosts, all made last month, and would have made the list in some other months. The timing was just not the right one this time. Maybe in the future. Your climb skills on those CR-1's tracks are remarkable, and you should be proud of the month you had in the ghosting community. Another cool shoutout is to Cerulean/Sharkfin, that got 6 features last month (but only 3 made last month), got some other cool ghosts and finished 5th in the contest. Xverse also did great again and got 5 features (but only 2 made last month). Shoutout to Chaos-Fallen as well, 4th in the contest and got 2 features, nicely done. Spruce also got a feature and had a very decent month. RedOrBlue did great as usual and had 1 vote for 3rd place, but didn't make it.

    GHOST OF THE MONTH:

https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/290112-regenerate-rcc/r/cerulean - We had some great ones like Cerulean's in 3D Bathroom, some of Cork great ghosts like the one on Up, spruce's and Chaos-Fallen's features in the contest, Skatitall's new feature and Xverse's ghosts on Expire and Brush 5, but we decided to go with this impressive ghost by Cerulean. The middle part was ok, but the beginning and the end were mad impressive, starting with a very smart cut and showing a really great consistency overall. It was an unanimous decision. Well done! First Ghost Of The Month to Cerulean/Sharkfin!

Edit: The poll and the archive in the main post were updated.

MARCH 2021 - Ghosting Awards Results
    GHOSTERS OF THE MONTH

#1: Cerulean: Big surprise here... Cerulean once again had a crazy month. With 8 ghosts made in March that are still featured, legendary ghosts on a number of longer tracks (see below), and becoming only the 2nd player ever to hold a ghost in all 4 main categories, it's pretty clear Cerulean was really on his a-game this month. He has already taken home first place 3 times here before and it doesn't seem like he plans on stopping anytime soon. He has really shown off his versatility recently with both fast ghosts and trickghosts alike. He has been quick to steal back his featured ghosts, rarely dropping in his ranking in the most featured ghosters. Speaking of which, his tear through leaderboards and the featured list alike edged him ever closer to passing Anonyymi, the most featured ghoster of all time. He passed him recently in April (although that doesn't count till next month :D) and overtook the throne after 2 years of a dominant rule. Keep at it Cerulean! We can't wait to see more from you.
Some top ghosts from Cerulean this month: (open)

#2: Xverse: Not only a professional at climbing tracks but also at climbing the featured ghosts list (sorry), Xverse was insane this month with a total of 9 new, still featured ghosts on a wide array of trials, even edging out Cerulean in terms of sheer quantity of new features. His ability to tackle these tracks is incredible to say the least and he only seems to be getting better. Xverse also earned his Legendary Ghoster medal this month, joining an elite club of only 6 other ghosters to ever reach the marks necessary. He has shown his absolute dominance over climbing based trials this month with 4 of his 9 features being entirely climb based and with a dominant lead on all 4. The ease with which he seems to slay these records is astounding and we're all excited to see what he has in store for us in April.

#3: Zycerak: Zycerak has been a high level ghoster for some time now and his continued ability to play at such a high level is remarkable. He gained 4 features in the month of March (unfortunately losing 1 later in the month), and very impressive ones at that. He has shown his level of skill with both bikes recently with top times on tracks with each. He never shies away from medium-longer tracks with his 3 still held features all being over 30 seconds. Though not nearly as much in quantity this month, his quality shines through enormously. We can't wait for more ghosts from this legend in the future.
Some top ghosts from Zycerak this month: (open)

    GHOST OF THE MONTH
We had a VERY hard time picking the top ghost this month and for good reason. Cerulean, our ghoster of the month, made some of the best ghosts of 2021 so far and made our jobs very hard :) Ultimately, we had to come down to just 1. That ghost is:
    0:23.47 on Hard-a$$-trial by Noob
This remarkable ghost made this insane trial by Noob look like child's play. With only one death and little slow down, it destroyed Unghosted's incredibly iconic former feature and shaved off nearly 5 seconds on a ~25 second track. This ghost is just insane and if you haven't seen it already, I highly suggest you check it out. Big congrats on this one Cerulean, it's gonna last awhile.

    SHOUTOUTS
We had so much fantastic ghost activity this month that it's hard not to give a bit more credit to some very special ghosters and ghosts.

Ghoster: We would especially like to shoutout DrChill for his rapid improvement this month. He has shown his skill especially well his month and we really look forward to seeing his future submissions. Keep killing it man!

Ghost: Our decision was just too close for ghost of the month not to mention Cerulean's 0:18.93 on Stolen meme by AndrewVaughn2. This very nearly was the ghost of the month and for good reason. Cerulean beats Unghosted by over 4 minutes here and does with incredible smoothness. Fantastic job on this on Cerulean.

    Stay tuned for next month!

APRIL 2021 - Ghosting Awards Results

    GHOSTERS OF THE MONTH:

1 - RedOrBlue - Finally the man himself takes a Ghoster of the Month award home. RedOrBlue always does good on the public Ghosting Awards polls, whenever there's one, but since we started making those awards he never won a Ghoster of the Month from the team. He did win the Ghost of the Month award, though. But on April, things were different. Cerulean had won 4 out of the last 5 Ghoster of the Month awards and he started the month of April strong. He got first place in the featured ghosts leaderboard, beat Anonyymi's record for the most features held at one time and was doing really good overall, but then there was RedOrBlue. RedOrBlue showed no mercy and stole 7 features from Cerulean last month, showing that Cerulean is good, but there is still some great competition and it's not easy to stay at the top. He also stole a feature from Madara, which made him get 8 featured ghosts on April. Also, he's doing amazing on ORG and won all his matches so far, so yeah, April was his month. Congrats to RedOrBlue for the very deserving 1st place.

Some dope ghosts from him from last month:

2 - Cerulean - Yeah, you can say that he was "defeated" by RedOrBlue in April, but that doesn't mean that he didn't do good. Besides the already mentioned 1st place in the featured ghosts leaderboard and the new record for most featured ghosts held at once, Cerulean got 7 features on April, and some of them were absolutely insane! Another really great month from him, so he got a very deserving 2nd place on the Ghoster of the Month award this month.

Some dope ghosts from him from last month:

3 - Cerasium - Great month from him. He was involved on multiple ghosting battles, fights for features and stuff like this, so he was really helpful on the thread and the ghosting community in general. He also published some tracks that got some cool ghosts that were suggested on the thread and even featured, so he did help a lot. On top of that he still managed to get 3 featured ghosts, so we felt like the 3rd place was very deserving this time. Nice work Cerasium!

Some dope ghosts from him from last month:

Shoutouts: The shoutouts for the month of April are to Madara and Xverse. Despite being somewhat "retired", Madara did get 2 new features and had a huge participation on some ghosting battles that we had last month, so props to him for that. Xverse also got 2 new features and was somewhat participative in the thread.

    GHOST OF THE MONTH:

https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/808554-haha-scrance-3/r/cerulean - This was the one. It wasn't an easy decision, though. We had 4 players from the team voting on the ghosting awards for the past month and Cerulean's ghost on Haha Scrance 3 got 2 votes, so Cerulean takes another Ghost of the Month award home (for the 3rd time, all of them in a row). The tricks there are just to insane and there's many different ones to pull off. That backwards tube trick is really hard to pull off, so we decided that this ghost was the one. Cerulean's ghost on Paysage Beauiful was really good as well (despite the mistake between 29-31 seconds) and received 1 vote. RedOrBlue's ghost on Kakotopia Trial was really clean as well and got 1 vote. The Haha Scrance 4 one by Cerulean and The Mining Facilty one by Xverse were really sick as well in my personal opinion.

PS: Sorry for the delay, we were very busy. I'll be updating the 2 first posts and the poll soon.

I spent about 2 minutes on that track and I feel that it was just a mediocre ghost. I spent over an hour on scrance 4 and I think it definitely should've won. just sayin

MAY 2021 - Ghosting Awards Results

    GHOSTERS OF THE MONTH:

1 - Cerasium - The guy turned on his FRHD Beast Mode last month. Showed no mercy. If my math is right, he gained 12 features last month (it might be an all-time record? Maybe?) and made even more great suggestions that could be featured in the next update. He gained more features than that lately, but some were already in early June. He got his Recognized Ghoster Medal, Pro Ghoster Medal and got close of his Legendary Ghoster Medal. Insane work, super well-deserved 1st place on a monthly ghosting awards, his first time achieving it. He did well in the ORG as well, always keeping himself in the top 3, so I few like it's a fair 1st place.

Some dope ghosts from him from last month:

2 - Xverse -Another month, another great performance from Xverse in this year. With over 30 features, all gained this year (maybe a couple were for ghosts from the end of last year, but still), Xverse has been incredibly consistent and is showing a superb amount of skill on different kinds of tracks, especially climb, tube, offroad and trial tracks. He got involved in many ghosting battles for features, and ended up winning some of those battles last month, which made him win 5 features. Really well-done! Another top 3 ghosters award for you.

Some dope ghosts from him from last month:

3 - Chaos-Fallen - This was insanely hard to decide. We had many players that did great last month, and many of them got exactly 2 features and had similar months. We had DrChill, RedOrBlue, CHARREDLIZARD21, Madara, Chaos-Fallen and Anonyymi. This month, with NotVeryGood back, we had all 5 players vfrom the team voting for this month awards, and the 3rd place was a battle. After trying to decide who did better, we initially reduced to Anonyymi, RedOrBlue and Chaos-Fallen, and ended up getting on the fence about whether it should be Chaos-Fallen or Anonyymi. Anonyymi got 2 votes and Chaos-Fallen got 3 votes (one of them by Anonyymi himself), so we decided to put Chaos-Fallen as 3rd. He got 2 features, got involved in many ghosting battles, he's on a good streak on ORG, so we decided to choose him. He was slightly more active than Anonyymi or maybe RedOrBlue in the thread, so I feel like since it's a monthly award, he deserves the placement.

Some dope ghosts from him from last month:
    Show Spoiler

Shoutouts: Obviously for Anonyymi for his great ghosts and "comeback", for RedOrBlue for doing great as usual and killing it on ORG, for DrChill for being very competitive and getting involved in many ghosting battles doing great ghosts, for CHARREDLIZARD21 for getting back at his work of being the "Blob King" in the game and for Madara that showed that he can still be a top class player not just on helicopter tracks, but on offroad and climb tracks as well whenever he wants. Great work, guys!

    GHOST OF THE MONTH:

https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/5337-art-ce/r/cerasium - We had many great ghosts like Madara's ghost on Copy Valley and Anonyymi's ghost on A Trip to the Woods, but the final decision was between Xverse's ghost on Everest Uphill and Cerasium's ghost on Art CE. We had only 4 votes for this category, and 3 of them were forArt CE and 1 for Everest Uphill, but 2 players that voted for Art CE also shoutouted the Everest Uphill ghost. The Everest Uphill ghost is indeed more iconic, since there were way too many featured ghosts on this track over the years and people keep beating it, but we felt like the Art CE ghost is also very iconic and stronger as a ghost, so we decided to with that one. Really strong from start to finish, very deserving award for Cerasium, that takes the 2 main awards home this month. Congrats!
