Totoca12 Thank you so much for hosting and organizing this event! I really appreciate your understanding, friendliness, respectfulness, and reasonableness. I'm willing to help you in possible future event hosting and organizing, at least in some regards. I definitely wanted to ghost all the tracks, but I was too busy; maybe I'll ghost them later. Congratulations Anonyymi for becoming, in my view, easily among the top three ghosters in FRHD history during the time that this competition took place. You could have easily gotten 300 points.

Totoca12 Yeah those last three ghosts were entirely spacebarred - I got a new keyboard so I can input enough keys to make that work. I still need a lot of practice, but I'm starting to get pretty comfortable with spacebarring.
Great contest, it was very fun and motivated me to greatly improve my ghosting - I am so much better now than in round one!
Maybe next contest tracks could be built ahead of time to make sure there is the quality / consistency / diversity that is so important. Also to avoid last minute issues.
Thanks Anonyymi for letting me win the last round!

Oh, I see. No matter what, you can actually see a lot of improvement from you through the rounds. Great job, man! And yeah, if I make another contest, I have to start planning earlier.

Also, thanks for the compliments, man! Appreciate it!

great tracks great ghosters great host thank you and gongrats

Overall I think it was a success and proved that the ghosters are not completely extinct yet. Honestly I was shocked by the amount of participation when this first started. Looking forward to the future contests.

  8. Yes thankyou so much Totoca12 for hosting. best host ever! I just got access to my pc so, sorry I'm a tad late and couldn't complete the last track (I can now though). Congrats to anonyymi and everyone else :) It was fun :)

but he uses old tactics which aren’t as effective as the new ones which makes him easy to beat

Thank you to all of the track makers and all of the contestants that slogged through this marathon.
Totoca12 Thank you so much for hosting this event. It was tremendous. There were ups and downs, but you did an amazing job dealing with all of the complications. I really enjoyed our head to head over the last few rounds. We'll have to rematch once you get a working keyboard.
Anonyymi Congrats on winning the whole thing. Your skill and persistence is unparalleled. Also, the fact that you've recently come out of nowhere and surpassed everyone is stunning. I'm looking forward to being passed on the lifetime points leaderboard in about 2 weeks by you.
    Contest feedback:
    • I personally didn't mind the length of the contest, but in the future I think 6 races is a reasonable number.
    • I understand TIC's comments about the difficulty of the levels, but I think anything more difficult than what we had would lower the already limited participation. Even round 6 was only completed by 11 players. But it does put into perspective what a "World Cup" should require for skill level. <Pause while I go take a look at previous World Cup tracks> Well that was surprising. Go back and take a look at the previous World Cup tracks. They're quite simplistic and ups my appreciation of this World Cup's track maker's. To summarize my thoughts now that I've seen the previous World Cups, I'd say a World Cup should be about racing significantly more than difficulty.
    Track feedback:
    • My favourite track was Pie42's round 6. I learned so much. I improved so much. And despite generally avoiding running non-MTB tracks(aka sucking at anything not MTB) I felt like I had a shot at beating the big guys.
    • I loved track 4. It was the most familiar and comfortable. Something I would run dozens of times just for fun on improving my time.
    • I also really enjoyed tracks 1, 2, 5, 9 & 10. Rounds 1 and 2 were really good openers. I usually avoided helicopter and tunnel tracks, so actually had to practice and get better.
    • I hated round 8. I think I spent 30 mins to get it done and got a horrible time. Then I spent another hour or more attempting to complete another run or two and never did. I succeeded in doing some things I tend to avoid like the bomb jump, star jump and the edge lean. However, I don't feel like I actually learned how to do them, I just got lucky and was able to finish the level.
