dude you're the messiah. This whole thing is unbelievable, amazing work.
The only thing that still kinda bothers me is that the fullscreen mode is not really fullscreen, if you could change it to how the fullscreen works on BHR, that would be great.

 

Can you make it so when you press enter, you have to press a button to restart?
e; same with checkpoints

 

This is due to the way itch.io handles web-games (through iframes), so you have first to put the iframe in fullscreen (button at the bottom right), then press F. I'm not sure I can do anything about it but I will definitely look for a way to bypass the iframe.
This won't be a problem if you put the game as it is in any website tho.

Actually this thing bothers me a lot in FRHD so I'm not sure I'll be happy putting it in this version~

I've checked and it's impossible. It would imply breaking the Same Origin Policy~~
No "one-button and it's fullscreen" on itch.io, you'll have to put the iframe in fullscreen first.
Hopefully this will be better handled by other game-hosting services.

 

What's the problem with it?

 

What if you don't want to press anything after a checkpoint, or let's say only a few frames after the checkpoint ?
That's annoying not knowing what to do to "unlock the game" without ******* up. At least I find it annoying.
Also this feature works well with FRHD checkpoint system because you certainly don't want to mess up too many times after a checkpoint, this "pause" gives you time to breath. But my ghost system is the same as CR so it is not really important how many times you fail after a checkpoint.
And overall I think this feature breaks the flow of the game.

Tbh I suck at this game anyway, so maybe some people who ghosted a lot on CR / FRHD could give some insight on what system is the best? (tomiy...?)

Edit: Minor thing again, but can the eraser that erases everything be pink, and the one for lines be brown? I'd like to maintain the old one.

 

That's already done tbh, I'm just waiting until I implement the curve line tool to put the new version online.
Also brown is not beautiful, so the line eraser is this color

You can't erase stars or checkpoints with the general eraser.

 

I've noticed it yes. This will be corrected soon. This is just a small negligence from me

 

I fell down the rabbit hole of UNDO/REDO tool.
This thing is painful to implement.

 

UPDATE

• General eraser color is back to light pink
• Line Eraser has a new beautiful color
• Bug with the general eraser fixed

• Undo/Redo implemented (I haven't played with it a lot, so there might still be a few bugs - please report them)

• No curve line tool for now, but the button is there nonetheless

 

The redo has the same issue as on BHR.

Here's how it works:
Place any power up (except for teleporters for some reason)
Now press M and then N to undo and redo.
The power up should've reappeared on the screen now, so far so good.
Now draw a line through it and erase just the line and the power up disappears as well.

But props to you for making this, it works just as well as on BHR.

 

Just chiming in to confirm cr system was best, frhd sucks for ghosting

I won't give you the legal rundown, mainly because it's pretty obvious. I can get into it through PM if you want to. Bottom line is it's stolen source code, so beneficiaries are liable. The creators of Free Rider own the IP , and are allowed to do with it as they wish. The code is not open source.

We're planning on redoing the editor soon with our new fr core 2.0. This will contain many more features that currently available.

Why not share the ideas and prototypes to make this game better? It should be a collaborative effort. People have tried many times to split the community up to other sites, it never works.
