The FreeRider Feed - May 2016

Here you will find attached PDF of the May 2016 issue of the FreeRider Feed, the new "unofficial" source of news and discussion in FreeRiderHD for your viewing. You will also find polls for the issue's debate section. Players are welcome to write their own articles or join the team and are advised to ask me first alongside your chosen topic(s) and a piece of writing you have prepared via pm on the forums before writing as articles are not always guaranteed to be featured in issues and allows me to make a final decision. We will try to release issues with every month.
If you are having trouble viewing the articles please let me know as it may be a problem with the file.

I'm not just saying this cuz I'm on the News Team, but I really don't feel this is the way to go. I'm not saying this is bad, but Still. The news team has been round longer, and tbh, does look more professional. We have an official News paper and we try really hard. If you want more ideas and sections of it, then tell us and we'll do our best at trying to add it. But I really think, for the sake of the community, you just keep all this in the official news. A news competitor is not what the forum needs

We are doing this because we want players, and ourselves, to have somewhere to share opinions and discuss matters about this game. Having an unofficial news team makes it less restricted than the Official News team. We are not in any way trying to replace the Official News team.

 

PM me, telling me what kind of stuff you would like to write and prepare a piece of writing so I can make a decision.

I pre much agree w/ everything Parasite said, and besides youve pretty much combined the old news with the 'new' news and added in a couple new items of stuff as well. I dont have a problem with it, but I just dont see the point in it

I see where you're coming from. This is mainly just for recreational purposes but we are still trying to improve our content. We're trying to offer another source of news and discussion that will differ from content from the Official Team. This is just the beginning and we'll try to keep issues coming.

 

Again, I'm not saying this cuz I'm salty, but really I don't think that should happen. If you want, you could make some threads and discuss topics like "Do Autos Suck Or Nah" and talk about it there. Trying to improve on a non-official paper is a rivalry waiting to spark. We understand you want what you want, but the more official you try and make it, the more it seems like you're trying to rival us (No matter how many times you say you're not).

If a rivalry ever does spark, which I'm hoping it won't, then we may have to discontinue. But for now, we can do what we want (of course we won't be including anything offensive). I understand what you're trying to say.

Yeah, we're new (obviously) but are trying to improve our content but still offer something different from the Official Team.
