Contest REMIX CONTEST 4 - Legacy Thread

Introduction

Welcome to the 4th Remix Contest. This contest has endured success throughout the end of Canvas Rider and entering the Free Rider HD Era. Last year the 3rd Remix Contest was a huge success, creating multiple featured tracks including: Vulcan Genesis by Maple and Seventh Sea by alexander, the former winner. I hope that the 4th time will have even more success than in the past! I see a lot of new talent on Free Rider HD, and this contest with it's multi-round format has proven to be competitive for everybody. Hopefully, this contest will be a break out for new talent. Get ready.

The contest will begin midnight of Christmas Day: December 26th 12:00AM (EST). While you wait, feel free to experiment with the practice round (info lower).

Rules and Guidelines

All tracks in this contest are derevived and/or built from tracks made in the past using codes made from the track, thus remix. I give you 3 codes to make your remix, 1. Original- nothing about the track is changed, 2. Bones- unnecessary detail is removed and 3. Track-Only- Only playable track is kept. You will build your remix from the code of your choosing. You are allowed to alter the track and detail within in any way you like to make the track your own.

The contest is 3 rounds. All will likely be 2 weeks. I am subject to extend based on whether I forsee the majority needing extra time.

In the past, I have solely judged this contest. For those of you who believe you're at odds with me and question that I may be biased, I reference the 1st Remix Contest where @Vapaa won, whom I disliked. I am a fair judge and am unswayed by any personal disagreements. I do not use a rubric for I feel that creates guidelines to win, rather than encourage creativity or effort.

I really don't get what I just read I'm going to be in but for me this was confusing to read please use a more dumbed down version jk jk lol but one question this is the practice round with is over ___, then the real thing begins right? So for this practice round we can ask you for advice ect. So this isn't the real round yet

For those of you new to the idea of remixing tracks I recommend taking part in the contest and warming up via the practice round, and viewing examples of entries from the past. No the practice round does not count and is optional. Its just meant to introduce users to the idea of remixing tracks. I recommend experimenting with the code if you are unsure how you will accomplish and be successful int this contest.

I would love to see you enter again. You definitely raised the standard and level of competition last go round. If you don't have enough maybe you could do smaller scale entries or pull a maple and whip up one of the greatest tracks of all time in 2 weeks.
