Hey guys, just been working hard on the editor the last couple of days. Ash has sent me his mockups of the Editor. (Note: This is an image Ash has created, it has not been developed, though we are almost complete) Powerup Images are not final, may be subject to change. Let me know what you think , like or dislike. Edit: I guess I should explain whats going on in the picture. Left menu are tools, right menu changes based on the tool selected. In the image powerup is selected, showing the powerups on the right. If the line tool is selected, line type, snap etc would show on the right (as its a context menu) The dotted box is a select tool. Here are ashes original wireframes He does these to get a sense of how it will look.
I like it! I'm guessing the sidebars slide in and hide once you move around or something? What do you mean by also removing best times?
See where it says "best" , removing that. Never mind, I removed that sentence as its clearly confusing.

What I like a lot about the look of the editor right now is how minimalistic it looks, because all the icons are grey (or black). I think with all the colour in there it looks a bit more like the fr2 editor (do not want). That's the first thing that I notice. I prefered it when it was black and white. Are those bars on the side going to show when you have your cursor near them or are they there all the time? Overal I like it. The clear/import stuff on top make it look more like other programs like Word, which is nice. I think if it would be fully black and white it would look good enough for me (and if those bars on the side only pop up when you move the cursor near them
Select tool will allow a number of actions to take place on blocks of tracks. At first, it will allow you to select a track section, and delete it. Eventually we can add moving etc.
Here is his original wireframes (before colour and polishing) Yes, I can make the side bars disappear when drawing close to them.
The picture you posted looks just like what I wanted in my earlier post (If you were to polish it a bit). Don't really know what a wireframe is but as an end product and the editor I were to use, it's sweet
