• Intro:

Hello and welcome to the 7th annual Remix Contest. This contest has seen the best of trackmakers from Canvas Rider and Free Rider HD. This is the one time in the year where you can show your true skill at the game. Every year, trackmakers show off their skill and truely make a name for themselves in this contest. MayhemMercenary really made a name for himself in this contest with his first two featured tracks https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/373486- and https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/393461- in The Fifth Remix Contest and not to mention some of the best tracks such as https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/94801-vulcan-genesis and https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/374537-conflagration have been made in this contest. Who will be this years “break out for new talent” and who will make a their mark in FRHD history.

Rules and Format:

Format:
This year’s contest will be a little different than the previous contests, but it’s the same concept.
Everyone gets 3 versions of the track chosen for each round:

1. • Original: containing no edits to the original track
   • Bones: edited to contain only conceptual detail
   • Track Only: edited to contain only the playable track

You will pick a partner to collab with.
You and your partner will work on one track each round. (All rounds are required except for the second round if your group places first in round 1)
There will be 1 one week practice round (before the contest), 2 Preliminary 18 day rounds (Monday to the Friday of the second week) and 4 team bracket where the semifinal matches last 18 days and the final match lasts 3 weeks.
The top 2 teams from each round advance the the final round which will be a 4 team bracket consisting of semifinals and the final match.
The highest score for the losing semifinal team places 3rd.

Rules:

All tracks in this contest are derevived and/or built from tracks made in the past
Your duo will build your remix from the code of your choosing.
Y’all are allowed to alter the track and detail within in any way you like to make the track your own.
Don’t do anything stupid and you should be fine.

tbh you didn't do a great job explaining it. you didn't explain what contest we were remixing in the practice round, and you didn't really advertise the track as far as I know. InTheSavce did much better awhile ago.

 

The rules are a little vague. By what I read, we can completely erase the codes and add whatever the heck we want. What's a remix? (I haven't done any of the past contests).

 

Yes that’s what u do. You make a new track with the codes from an old track

 

So from what I understand, we make the track, save just the track, then add some bare detail, save that, then finish it, and submit all three codes?
