Ghost liking and featuring

This is near to the point of verbal diarrhea.

• First off on going to say, that no, I wasn't actually sad. I just wanted to be better (the "sadly" was a joke and could have been replaced by unfortunately of something along those lines). I have talked to many unexperienced players and none of them have showd any sign of sadness.
• Second point of mine will be, that I actually didn't start spacebarring untill last year (or the and of 2k14, cant recall).
• Third point: I never said, that likes are needed to feel good about something. It's just a form of feedback. I need no likes to motivate me to make new tracks. I do what I want to.
• Fourth point: I know the point isn't to rek all of the noobs. Of course it is to have fun. If competitive racing wasn't fun for those who do it, the leaderboard should on fact be deleted.
• Fifth: Art is in no way boring (unless it's absolute garbage, which the rating system filthers away) No feedback is needed, but it is damn nice to get some, isn't it? Feedback actually helps you develop as an artist, too. Ei why not have it of thats the only reason you want this fame to excist.

Edit: i bet u never for good feedback and thats ur reason to take ratkng away. OOOOOOHHHH rekt. When my creations dont attract any attention i know to the harder. And that helps me get better as dell as the constructive criticism i get.

I'm sorry, but that's just my opinion put into a comedic form. Once again, I really am sorry if you can't take it. You called me a hacker/cheater and a sad man, afterall. I just fealt like retaliating with the least offensive way I could think of. And that happened to be the way you adressed your opinions. Don't get me wrong, the grammar was fine, you just didn't make sense to me.

Lol I dont get the 'Leaderboards and ratings make u sad and pull you away from the game', when I first started it was leaderboards that kept me here. I loved the challenge of going thru random tracks and trying to get a top 10 time, and either failing and trying again or getting a top ten time and being immensly proud of myself. Same with tracks, when I made a good track and people I look up to/like give back constructive criticism/compliments it would boost my confidence and my ability to do better next time. Its the competitiveness of games like this that keep people here, and being up against and beating a time a 'legend' has set is insanely satisfying.

Also Stig Chars all g for a forum set for ghosting, I interviewed him in the news a while back and he said he'd get Velksy to work on it asap (Never happened but hes all for it), Ill link it for u if u like

Let's keep the discussion on an appropriate and relevant level guys

 

Lets be honest, there aren't that many very good ghosters out there. Probably 20 active ones can be considered very good. With the addition of the ghosting forum section and the ghost system similar to BHR, we may see lots of better ghosters. The motivation to ghost will be higher and this will make the game more fun.

 

um "theirs only about 20 active good ghosters" their is about that amount of good authors to but we have feature tracks

My opinion. I agree that spacebarring isn't cheating because it's incorporated into the game. When you're making a speedrun (here we call it ghosts) you can use all benefits and bugs the game can offer, as in the famed Half-Life speedrun. There are two reasons I don't spacebar: first, I am not good enough for it to help me; second, I experience very random FPS drops (the more detail in a track the more severe it is).

 

Would there be a recent ghost section?
