I'm an official author because I was a part of the FR community before FRHD was made, they made my account official (or classic, as it used to be known as) before I even joined the site. I honestly thought a lot more people would say this.

 

It was only because i was pissing off Woodmas on the comments asking why he kept making crap tracks when he could make good ones as well. In the end he just said he's make my official and after that i felt bad about dissing any of his tracks.

I have to say I agree and my story is like Dakoziol-2nd 's. I had been making 5-minute non-detailed tracks and then char said
"I BLESS YOU WITH THE POWER OF THE OFFICIAL AUTHOR"
or something like that. That was just when I began making so-so detailed tracks. MY The problem was, for me, I never really learned how to use detail, even though I was playing FR2 since abt. 2011. I was playing on FR2.org, a fr2 site were you could use colour to make your tracks. And.... I never really learned how to make really good detail.

 

Anyone who gets official (like me) without any good tracks... Usually started to think they have to own up to official! And that's how most of us feel!

 

Because I chained myself into Char's house and cried for 3 weeks.

Ok serious. I got lucky and became official at the very beginning of the lower standards. I was the opening door for lower authors, I guess. Right after I got a official, everyone got it. In hindsight I don't think I deserved it back then, but now I have a few decent tracks and I've got some dope WIPs.

 

I got it because I was showing signs of improvement, even though my tracks are still trash

i am not sure why, i hardly make any tracks, i am too busy, and all the tracks i have made are basic with the detail stolen for other track makers ,i have never done anything original
but i am trying to start to do more

 

Omg, sooooo true! My Magic mountains track detail was using genericusername's design in the giant Collab with Woodmas

 

I literally made my part in 5 minutes. Waste of time that track sucked ( the giant collab track i mean)
