I'm having trouble getting the head looking like it's turned, but it's main idea was to give an idea of an aggravated/cautious stance, so that's why the back is so high up. If I decided to make it a main idea for a track, I'd probably scratch it and redraw the whole thing neater, but I don't really know if I'll do it...appreciate the advice though! (By the way, I loved SSCE....) Wolf proportions though are fairly easy, but in it's position currently, I'm still trying to figure it out :/
I just mean being more specific rather than sloppy, really defining everything before you draw it in. The actual shape doesn't look bad, it just needs to be refined. You used this as a reference, right? The head position is forward but it's also much closer to the body and lower than in your drawing. I'd try maybe bringing it in to the left just a bit and tilting it downward more.
Haha, you've found my secrets. But yup, I was too lazy to start an idea from scratch, so I used it as a reference. I'm thinking about just scratching the whole thing and creating my own wolf if I decide to do it, it was just the concept But thanks, I'll take the advice if I decide to do this position anyways!
Haha, I know. Sometimes I grab a few references and create a sort of "mashup", but I agree, nothing wrong with using other pictures. I simply just like designing my own art, but obviously I learned from somewhere, right? Designing is my one true love though...so I usually stick to creating my own ideas.
Hey one day if you'd like to get a track featured then maybe make a bunch of art and then ask someone really good to design a cool track around or though your art
or maybe put a lot of time into it, Pssst epic wooden bucket doesn't have that much art or any art at all it still got in there
