Hey guys, as you know iv been recoding the game / creating a new editor. While developing , Iv made some optimizations to the rendering, and determined the best way may be to use flat versions of powerups. It does fit the 2D theme of the , and I know a lot of you guys have been wanting this anyways. Let me know what you think. I do not have samples of other power ups atm.
Tbh I think CR powerups were better because they were simple and clean, the powerups like the bomb, checkpoint, and slow motion are pretty ugly IMO.
Honestly I don't like CR power ups, all of them were circles, kinda lame, but I think a few powerups could be redesigned to be made better
I think goals should be bombs, bombs should be goals, boosts should be gravity, gravity should be boosts, slow mos should be checkpoints, and checkpoints should be slow mos
I liked the simplicity of the CR powerups, plus i did a few drawings using cr powerups that just look ridiculous now.
I liked CR's simplicity, but I think the FR2 powerups were the best (with the exception of the bomb. It wasn't centered and I like it red)
The clock looks really good. I'm kinda worried about the CP and the bomb though . the other 3 are meh
lol , I googled "Checkpoint symbol" Yeah, it was my first go at it. Ash is going to revisit the bomb.
Quick question, how come ash is never on? And, everything is good, but the checkpoint and bomb, the bomb is on the right track i think
Okay so first off you just did the most programmery thing possible (googling resources) Also for the bomb, idk make it symmetrical but I bet he could do something cool like a minesweep bomb.
