xwinx Your bridge looks awesome, bridges screw me over every time. Your rocks look good, a little unnaturally shaped in some areas though. Does anyone want to give some thoughts on these snowy rocks I've been working on for ages?
I'm 3/4's gd, 2/3's first layer of bg. Not started on anything else but I've put in maybe 20 hours on this tbh
nasrani the rocks look great but they dont stand out against the snow, I know its not you but id try adding a little more black
I will put in 20 hours in mine, or try. Also since I decided I'm not gonna continue with this here:tracks served multiple purposes but it's my unfinished track for round 1 of the remix contest.
Oh god if that was your r2 I'd cry, because my game is so steep right now Maple Idk, I'm on about 22 hours. Finished the gd
http://community.freeriderhd.com/posts/38063 Most of you probably don't like the brush tool. I rewrote it so it has more customizations / configurable trailing effect like FR2/3. Configurable in that you can change the size of the break point / remove trailing New fullscreen as well.
I believe we have discussed water many times in this thread. I was going to refer you to a certain page, but then I realized that there are 36 pages.. Ain't nobody got time fo dat. So, I recommend you have a look at lolz666's tracks, as well as some tracks in the featured page. Generally what you want to aim for is having dark lines for the boundaries of the stream (for example, rocks), and have the scenery lines as reflections/ripples in the water. I'm sure Maple and a few others would be way more help than what I just said, but at least it's a start! Good luck!
Use reference pics. Even if you draw a stream a from real life picture precisely it really helps to get the feel for what ever your doing.
