Elite Author Status

i think the criteria should be much higher than just 3 featured tracks

But max and maple are the only people who deserve the status as we speak. Ness after the release of future days. Stig is nowhere near active enough. Nasrani isn't either. Eli, wm, alex, me and every other official author I don't feel made the jump yet, unless the standard I have in mind is lower.

 

In my opinion Elite status should only be achieved by winning official contests, not just handed out. Pro status could be gained by having a certain amount of features, maybe, or etc.

 

I agree with this, although not one of those themed contests which there are too many of, but maybe a really heavy contest every 6 months or so, which is also priced with an unusual big amount of coins, to really squeeze out all the potental there might be on this site, and bring out the best. If not, im afraid the site would go out of good trackmakers, and start promoting people who are not on the "better" level (like trackmill.. And most of you know what happened to trackmill... Trackmill died because they promoted too many vips that really lowered the status of the title "VIP"). You know what i mean tho

Yes, one should be making atleast 1000 posts a month, which lolz666 does not have, and therefore isnt the greatest track maker in history (lolz666 is Maple by the way)

Dont take my opinion, and maybe brutal approach personal, but i just strongly believe youre wrong in this case. Also im kinda grumpy atm

Elite is the best of those options. Top and notable the worst.

 

No im saying when an author whose been inactive for two years comes back he should neither expect gratification or receive it, because it was previously given in the past and has done nothing to reassure himself as worthy of the status.

 

I understand your point completely. But would you not give recognition and respect to muhammad ali today for what he did 30-40 years ago, just because he doesn't box no more? and therefore arent reassuring himself worthy of the legendary status?

On the other hand, when it comes to myself and "re-proving" myself, i can assure you that i will in a not too distant future

 

I really like VIP personally and it's gonna upset me when the title gets moved onto Elite Author or something along the lines of that. I've just always wanted that yellow badge underneath my name with VIP written inside of it. But Elite does sounds good in my opinion. VIP just makes you sound like a top dog of the forum and if you earned your title the correct way, you should feel like a damn top dog of this place.

Also, these titles should not be handed out. I know that there are some obvious people that deserve them, but WE NEED OFFICIAL CONTEST(S) SET UP BY YOU DEVELOPERS. I'm serious guys, I know I'm still like a month new to this site but we do need a contest. I'm not exactly sure if one has been hosted by you guys because I probably would have heard about it by now, but this is seriously needed because this would be the only highly understandable way to earn a title like those. This is Free Rider HD guys, we don't need 2+ people with big titles around the forum right off the bat.

I would consider him a legend, but I wouldn't put him in comparision with modern boxers because that'd be unfair. Its not like they can fight eachother.
