this is the second place ghost at 2.37 before the guy leans back he is pretty much dead even, even if he is a tiny bit ahead then: ^ before leaning back ^ after leaning back this is an alt of mine that I used to get this time, interlude, I was testing a few years back on this track to workshop if 2.57 was possible https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/52143-strats-intro/r/interlude/chlorazide it is not, though to my knowledge this is the fastest current run on the track if the game were more precise with ending times I think this is the best showcase that the time is fake: the current time is 2.60 yet we aren't even touching the star a few years back, I did more testing, including taking the track into the editor to try. The editor allows for 1 frame of movement before the timer starts. As you can see here where I have pressed Z but the timer didn't start: as opposed to what happens normally: where the first input starts the timer. I did testing to try and get 2.57 with the .10 mtb strat, but I couldn't get it this is the closest I just got in the editor trying it again, but it still counts for a 2.60: we are already getting a higher 2.60 on the real track anyway so 2.57 is impossible even with 1 more frame of movement, let alone on the real track also this time display should not happen and only happens when a ghost breaks, or is time edited because it's based on when the rider actually finishes the track here's a good example of that: this ghost is broken and it shows it since it never finished the track (this ghost has 5.7k duped inputs btw that is why it broke it is not legit but besides the point) Overall 2.57 is impossible, the fastest way to accelerate on a straight line at the start is to hold up + down + right for 3 frame (until .10), then be holding up or up + right at .13. It is slightly faster than holding up + down until .07 I feel that this may be redundant to most and it's kinda rather obvious that 2.57 is impossible, but I saw some people asking about it and questioning so I think this info is important to at least put out there if it wasn't already widely known
