Thoughts on this grass style I've been playing around with? Also would love tips on how to make the water not look awful
ridiculously clean bro, love youre drawing ! tbh your water looks pretty great, it's really hard to draw well. i assume it's a puddle? if so, try concentrating more ripples closer to the grass and rocks, and further apart as it gets closer to the edge of the puddle. idk if that would look good (i like the look of what youve got tbh), but could work. ive also seen (i think fluffy..?) use straight lines in water to depict reflections, also is effective
I think if you added more texture around the water it would make the water appear more poignant. I would also simplify the shape of the water, make most of your texturing lines point downstream. Fluffy is a great reference for water, and he recommended me old animated Disney movies.
