Hi! I'm focusing in working on myself, as of lately. I've been contributing to an open-source game called Veloren for over 2 years now, and I eventually figured I should delve into the audio department. This soundtrack has been greenlit by the lead of the audio team recently, although combat music in general has not been reinstated (and therefore you'll not hear this in-game yet). Nearly all of my contributions there were in the aesthetics and balancing areas, as those don't really require programming knowledge. I may use this thread to share my future works, whether Veloren-related or not. Overall, I'm doing fine.
More specifically, it's combat music detection that has not been reimplemented yet. Anyway, I've composed another track; you can hear this one in-game right now (starting from the next weekly build).
is it okay if i sample the music for my songs? i mean i dont know how to pay you in the very rare case i get royalties but i figured i could chop the music up and rearrange it into something interesting that i can rap on
Feel free, I guess. I'm not sure how the GPL v3 license even works for audio assets (in a legal sense), but I've been told that I still have all rights to my music nevertheless, and can do whatever I want with it.
yeah i know that the rule of thumb for most situations like these is to maintain your sample length to 10 to 15 seconds
Another release of mine. During my music absence, on my channel, I posted quite a few guides and gameplays of said game.
