https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/6911/r/notverygood probably my last first completion (if that makes sense). this marks 25 tracks that I was personally able to prove possible for the first time in a decade. Tubiek and I are still brainstorming some more but I will leave those to him to validate (unless he specifically gives me permission to go for it). As a bonus, the strat I used on this track is basically 100% consistent so this track can actually be competitive which is cool Once Tubiek and I run out of good ones I'll post the last few potentially possible candidates in this thread for people to go for!
shout outs to mni was nice to play a more traditional track for once after playing 3 billion broken autos
if you look at the screenshot below i noticed that the side of that cliff is slippery, and you can launch yourself up and ride it back down out onto the last star im not entirely sure if it possible, but it might work
this was my original idea but the strat I actually used is free in comparison. and skill based rather than luck
in this specific track I found a slightly faster startup https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/8505-mountainside-run-2/r/justagdfan instead of bouncing off the tip with the back wheel, which causes you to bounce up, i rode the tip on the front wheel where it absorbs the impact and bounces lower however this loses some time because i land on my front wheel, not flat or on the back youd probably save ~0.2-0.4 secs
if you can find cool stuff on tracks I don't have lb positions on (which is only around 1000) that'd be great
surprise! https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/7948/r/notverygood number 26th first completion! tubiek theorycrafted this track a bit ago and was able to beat it in editor with a bunch of cps. I decided to take it upon myself to take the track into editor and try and find a low input strat for the hard part, which ended up being this: 21.13: up 22.20: down, left these two inputs will always get you to the top section. from there you can do the rather conservative end strat I did and a completion isn't too hard from there as long as you don't choke
the inevitable 27th first completion is here https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/9240/r/notverygood this was one of my 15 remaining tracks (along with it's copy: https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/9245) that I had not completed. going into this, this track seemed essentially impossible due to the crazy flip wheel catch you have to do smack in the middle. I could get the first 3 but never further. then I had an idea. if you can set yourself up in a consistent position every time then you could potentially do a low input strat from that area as if it were the start. I took a look and found that right before that flip that there is a small hole in the physics lines where you can set yourself up every time. If I could find something from there then I could potentially do this. and so I found one. set up as I do, with your back wheel locked in on that hole and while holding left and brake. wait until you stop moving hold right for three frames hold up and left for 10 frames hold up and right for 15 frames only hold up (sometimes you have to adjust midair for the second star) this strat works on both copies and is the only way I was able to beat these. i'm still in shock that this actually works and might be applicable to other tracks in the future.
if you can get consistent at the setup then this track isn't the worst? but i'd say of the 10k tracks i've had to beat so far this one is def top 10 in difficulty, even with the setup. and I had to do it twice. that being said I have no idea how zycerak managed to do this several years ago with no setup, actually insane ghost
number 28 basically https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/9441/r/notverygood this track was recently unhidden by totoca12 upon personal request and as such I am the first victor. a weird one but not too hard
number 29 (a welcome surprise) https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/9096/r/notverygood this was one of the two tracks known to be possible (done in editor) but not done in a real run. I messed with it a bit and found a low input strat that made the beginning free (and the end isn't hard) 9.17 - right 9.27 - nothing 11.63 - z 12.97-13.03 - hold left, all these timings give good enough rotation to reliably carry on. I don't count this as an input really I wanted to find something that beat the whole track after it was done but I couldn't. oh well! another one down
number 30... I never thought this one would be beaten but https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/9487/r/notverygood by some miracle after pulling this one into the editor and testing some stuff, I was able to find a working low input strat for the start that makes this one possible. really happy about this one! 0.00 - up, right 0.23 - right 0.33 - up, right 1.47 - up, brake, left 1.53 - z, up, brake, left 1.70 - z, up, right 1.77 - up, left it's hard but not awful
