      this is the formula to determine the velocity of a free-falling biker, given t in seconds

      velocity is measured in units per second where 1 unit is equivalent to one small grid box

      i just approximated a formula that would fit with what i found from testing over 2 years ago (https://pastebin.com/ehacacpT)

      From the game code, you accelerate at a rate of 0.03 grid units per tick^2. There are 60 ticks er second, so do the math and the acceleration is exactly 108 grid units per second^2. (There are only 30 frames per second, but two ticks happen each frame unless you're in slow motion)

      Every tick, your velocity is multiplied by 0.99 for the air resistance, so every frame it's multiplied by 0.99^2 = 0.9801, which is super close to RedOrBlue's 0.98.
      Here's the exact formula for the bike's velocity over time as it falls (assuming I didn't mess up the math):
