Obviously a work in progress (so ignore the missing details and random lines), but any tips on the perspective? The ramp at the bottom being behind the ramp above it seems off, but if I put it in front it'll mess up the ride.

qduhon honestly the perspective looks fine, something like this could help make it look right. make the beams go through the ramps like they're connected

and the best advice i can give for getting these ramps right every time if you're worried about perspective - hold up a piece of paper (landscape not portrait) flat in front of you (this is your ramp from above) now tilt it away from you and put some curve in it (this is your 3D ramp) try tilting at different angles and put different amounts of curve in it, now you will understand what the perspective should look like for every ramp in your track

lol me neither, i think it's been buried in a mountain of information over the years

Unsure if I want to incorporate text in my track(potentially enhancing the theme, naming locations) or keep it purely visual(viewer interpretation, maybe allows visuals to stand out more)

personally I'd love to see how you would use text! I think it has the potential to be really unique and add a lot to your art

Something I've been seeing recently and really just throughout the game in general is that I'll come across a gem of a track with a low(er) play count, think it's dope and go to the authors page only to find they stopped or have a "goodbye frhd" track because they got discouraged. And I think it's sad that this game gets so many creative and imaginative artists coming through it that want to showcase to the world what they can do, only to have them discouraged after putting loads of effort into one track and then not having it get the attention they wanted.

To that point though, it's been said countless times across every field that involves media that it takes so many attempts and hours of work before getting a break. That not every work or idea will get the recognition it deserves. And I feel that FRHD is a tamed down, smaller- occasionally not so but I digress- effort model of this principle. Not every track you're going to put out will get the 10's of thousands of view that you may think it deserves, and that's completely ok. But it's easy to go back and try again and it's manageable to gain status with consistency. All it takes is determination and the will to keep going. And I get it that we don't get the plays like we did during and pre covid; what used to get 1k plays in a week now gets 1k plays in 2 weeks if that. But I want to create a state where new artists who all have passion and fire of their own won't fizzle out after one "failed" track.

bottom line for new guys, it's completely ok and normal if a track doesn't work out the way you wanted it to. Everybody who has ever put anything out into the world has been where you are. so don't get dismayed if it doesn't work out, yeah? Keep it pushin:thumbsup:

I found that it was useful to completely detail the object below and modify it using overlapping curves as the snow
