Because of this https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/958489-turtle-beach-by-future-mtns The standard should be applied equally
Turkey Stuffing with Celery by Goatasaur I didn't write anything comprehensive at the time nor did anyone else, a little upsetting since this is the first thing by Goatasaur that has really stood out for me, this had hit everything before it that just about missed the margain. You have great potential as a maker and I hope this is the first of many features on the game. A couple concerns though, ride was a bit iffy on a couple of the jumps that ruined the flow of the track, especially when you're going for some ride elements to the track. Detail was pretty phenomenon but I do agree with cod you could have scooted it a little bit for better flow of immersion, its your track though and you can do what you damn please. gotta say for terms of layering, looked pretty good, problem with nature is there are so many layers to it, think you handled it pretty darn well and it's mixed in lovely with the balloons and castles. Keeping in the angel too was a nice touch to the original track despite you taking a far longer period of time to get the track right. Happy to say this got 5 YAYS and 0 NAYS Congratulations on your first feature, well deserved
Updraft by l0ge I didn't write anything at the time but I liked the ride even though it was hard in some spots. had a couple really cohesive spots around the track that looked really cool but it didn't always fit together and looked a bit empty overall. I do gotta say though fix your rock detail and that's coming from me. It's prime icattallthedark16 era. I did vote yes. Wanted the ball rolling and it's definitely the right direction for you as an artist. 1 yay 3 nays no feature
found this in the wip thread (i was trying to figure out how to make cave detail look actually good, as we all know I'm not good at that) wondered why it wasn't featured can someone explain or maybe idk discuss feating it because this is really nice https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/901518-evaporation thanks
...no? it's not rotate, this is and they are alike in no way except that they are both trials https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/259634-rotate-iii
i was kinda joking but you gotta see the similarities dude. ive seen lots of attempts at that specific type of trial that rotate popularised but none of them will ever be as good as the original. i can actually tell that you (or who ever did the rock detail) was directly inspired by rotate 3 itself as lots of parts of this track are directly reminiscent of citysheps detail. really the only substantial difference is that evaporation is also a bit too small to be impressive enough for a feature. don't listen to me tho im not a vip
Hi guys, vote for https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/965767-bad-trip-ntbf by MoiNotChubb. Overall vote is 2-2 , due to our drawing clause this goes in favour of yes swung to a 3-1. Congratulations Moinotchubb on your first feature, hope to see more works from you in the future and please do not hesitate to ask for CC
cent by wellebelly 2 yes 4 no i think the general consensus on the feedback here is that the overall quality of the track great, it's just little details that need refining! the potential to be a great trackmaker is clearly there some other cc:
Blossom by Welle As discussed before, take some time on some bigger projects. Learn to see what goes together consistently and please connect your lines! Final verdict 1-4, no feature.
Okay just a question but how is drawing on an IPad with an Apple Pencil going to limit me. It’s not like its going to give me a barrier on how well I can draw just because I do it different…
You'd be surprised. You get that natural freedom to draw but because it's done per se you don't spend as long in zooming in and fixing flaws. Drawing pencil (unless you're maple) breeds scruffy.
I think what you’re possibly having a bit of trouble with is that FRHD is a completely different medium to any other DAW out there. It’s also one that has a very different set of criteria to what is considered “good” from other mediums. That’s what makes “good” tracks so special, and I think if you look into those differences and how to find a compromise to what works for you, you’ll fix a lot of what the criticism over your tracks are. Another option is to look at tracks that fit your moto, like ones from Maple, Cataclysm, etc. see what sets those tracks have that separates them from yours and how you can incorporate that into your next projects!
