here's the pssst method of drawing trees: turn brush length all the way down and scribble the bottom of the leaves round out the top draw an outline of the branches into the base of the tree more brush to fill out the branches add another layer of scribbles behind the branches add some texture scribbles for grass and extra definition on the tree, maybe even fill in or add some texture to parts if you feel like it
Not true, they look great. However, if you want to make them look even better I would refer to Volund s thread, there’s good stuff in there. You could always ask people if you could PM them
Well currently they look like they're trying to be windswept but the outcome doesn't quite fit what you wanted it to be. Right? At a glance, and this is my opinion so try and see if it works, they don't really look big enough to be wind swept, and don't take up the space that clouds normally take. Try making them with more fluffy peaks that are carried with the wind too, like https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/796115- by Fluffy Smack. Or if you want to keep the strandy esk clouds, add more of them and fill up the space that way. Try and see, hope this helps!
wanted them to be like its windy. but i can agree with your opinion. also thanks fluffy has great clouds!
I just started making trees, my friends said that the trunk needs to be more defined? any other tips/how to "define it?"
you're making it VERY small which makes it hard to define anything. think about how real trees operate for a bit, might help you clarify what you're going for. is it a sapling? then it has less foliage, since it hasn't had the time to live and grow things out properly. is it in a particularly cold climate? that'd make it make sense to have a smaller and denser area that it takes up, which would mean the trunk is completely covered and secured by the needles. things like that. the more you identify the area around it, the clearer it'll come out
better! i bet if you have a bunch more bigger trees surrounding it it'll fall into place. having the patience for that kind of thing is a different thing however heehee!
